A vigilante group of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Delta Force on Saturday June 3, 2017 embarked on a cleaning up exercise on the Sofoline/Abuakwa road in the Ashanti region.

The cleaning up exercise forms part of the national sanitation day which was instituted by the erstwhile Mahama administration.

In an interview with Ultimatefmonline.com, the regional security Director Mohammed Seidu explained that their motive is to see a clean Kumasi where the garden city can maintain its accolade.

‘We want to be seen as partners in community development and anyone who need our services can contact us to clean their area for them, this exercise is not to appease society over recent backlash of their activities,’ he said.

According to them, they embarked on the exercise on their own accord.

Members of the group were spotted busily sweeping and weeding.

Those who took part in the exercise were 150 in number, comprising both males and females.
