Hohoe North Constituency of NDC cleans municipality

Hohoe, Feb. 23, GNA - The Hohoe North Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), in conjunction with Zoomlion Waste Management group, on Tuesday undertook a clean-up exercise as prelude to Ghana's 56t= h Independence Day celebrations.

The teeming group, amidst brass band music, desilted choked gutters along the principal streets of the municipality including the main market and Lorry Park and cleared weeds around offices. Mr Michael Ellis Adzimah, Hohoe North Constituency Secretary, who briefed the Ghana News Agency, said the exercise was one in the series of clean-up activities to usher in the Independence Day celebration. He stated that the exercise was to ensure that the Independence Day anniversary was observed u nder clean environment and not in 93filth and unkempt environment."

Mr Adzimah called on other political parties, civil society groups and members of the general public to join in the exercise. Scores of market women and members of transport agencies assisted the team to tidy the precincts of the market and the lorry park.
