Police officer dies after a Kia Rhino runs into residents

A Kia Rhino with the registration truck GX 4135-20 has run into a police vehicle with the registration GP 483, killing an officer in the process.

The incident occurred in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region on Monday, April 22, 2024.

Reporting the incident on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, Oheneba Ademah, said that the Kia Rhino experienced a brake failure, and as a result, it crashed into a stationary police vehicle.

According to an eyewitness who owns a shop around the scene, they heard a shout of a pending accident.

Those who were fast enough took to their hills.

Unfortunately for the deceased police officer, their vehicle was in the path of the truck, resulting in the accident.

Many individuals have also suffered severe injuries and have been rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.
