The celebrations to mark the 25th anniversary of the coronation of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II as the King of the Ashanti Kingdom (Asantehene) continue in the Ashanti Region.
On Thursday, April 25, 2024, the atmosphere of Kumasi was lit as magical fireworks were held at vantage points in the city.
There was also a mega musical carnival for Asanteman to celebrate the Otumfuo, which was attended by paramount chiefs and queen mothers, and thousands of residents of Kumasi.
One of the eye-catching moments at the carnival was when a group of paramount chiefs went up the stage to show off their dance moves.
The Juabenhene cum Chairman of the Council of State, Daasebre Otuo Siriboe II, perhaps won the dance battle with his slick dance moves to the legendary Osibisa Group’s 'Dance the Body Music.'
The Juabenhene, who was wearing a kaftan, in a video clip from the event shared by the Asante Nation on X, could be seen gyrating to applause from the crowd.
