I will construct Kejetia interchange- Nana assures Otumfuo

The flag bearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Akufo Addo, has promised to build an interchange at Kumasi Kejetia and upgrade the Kumasi Airport into an international one when elected in to office as president of Ghana.

Nana Addo was addressing the Asanteman Council when he paid a courtesy call on the Asantehene Otumfour Osei Tutu II, at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi on Thursday. He said the two issues are very important to the party and that he will spearhead a transformation of the region if elected as president.

The NPP flagbearer is in the Ashanti Region to continue with his tour after concluding his tour of the Volta Region.

Nana Addo further espoused his free SHS promise saying, like the Otumfuo Educational Fund, government will absorb the fees of students to enable many more Ghanaians to go to school.

Speaking on behalf of the Otumfuo, the Offinso Manhene, Nana Wiafe Akenteng IV advised Nana Addo to ensure that his supporters do not act in ways that could be detrimental to the peaceful atmosphere ahead of the election. He said the party loves peace and will strive to maintain a cordial relationship with all ahead of the election.

Nana Addo assured the Council that if anyone will foment trouble, it will not be supporters of his party as the party frowns on any act that can jeopardize the future of the nation.
