Ayariga was hired to distract Akufo-Addo- Amakye

Political Science Lecturer Kwesi Amakye has accused PNC Presidential candidate Hassan Ayariga of being a pawn of the ruling NDC.

Mr. Amakye described as harassment, the PNC candidate’s repetitive attacks at main opposition candidate Nana Akufo-Addo at last night’s Presidential debate.

He said the attacks betrayed Hassan Ayariga as a pawn hired by the ruling party to execute a hatchet job against Nana Akufo-Addo at the four-man debate.

He was consciously harassing Nana Akufo-Addo,trying to get him to become emotional and lose focus. It was very much like a theatrical something. It was as if he had been picked up and trained to go out and harass not just to participate.

Meanwhile, the Vice President of Think Tank IMANI Ghana in an interview with XYZ News said Hassan Ayariga didn’t deserve to be on the platform.

According to Kofi Bentil, the debate could have been better without the PNC candidate.

“We all know Hassan Ayariga provided humor and apart from the fact that people laughed nobody really took him serious.

He took away from the debate and all that he added was the humor”.
