It is clear the writer had discovered some of the contradictions and pagan practices which were adopted into the Bible but has been doing his best to reconcile that to his Christian belief. That's what h tried to present and woefully failed so.
First, he dishonestly failed to mention the pagan origins of the three in one god idea, which predated Christianity. The Council of Nicea simply affirmed that pagan Trinitarian concept against the Unitarian concept or Arianism, from which Islam evolved. Islam is therefore very much opposed to the concept of Trinity and the Qu'ran is peppered with this condemnation.
The Trinity idea allowed for the adoption of the pagan festivals, e.g., Christmas and Easter, and attributes of some pagan goods for Jesus.
I think the writer has not evolved cosmologically and cosmogonically enough, just like the mass of Ghanaians to perceive that all these god stories are just myths concocted by primitive people to explain their existence and the world around them.

Respond to an alter call in the Church to give your life to Christ, for this is Biblical!
When you respond to an alter call in church, you are publicly proclaiming in the assembly of the righteous that you are reconciling to Christ. Heaven and Earth also bears witness.
There is also peace and assurance of salvation that follows. You will not have an uncertainty in your mind. Rather you can be certain that you have done the right thing.
Responding to an alter call frees you, since it has the potential of severing an contrary relationship, hitherto, with the enemy.
Alter calls always gives you reason to be reminded of when you gave your Life to Christ.
It also challenges you to take the things of God seriously, by studying the WORD, persevere in attending prayer meetings.
Alter call experiences, also helps you not to compromise, easily.
It is an experience that challenges and gives you boldness to lead some one to Christ, after witnessing to that one to the point that his/her heart is softened to receive Christ.

Thus, Jesus only told them that he would send them the Paraclete, which has been translated to mean the Holy Spirit. However, Jesus never stated that the Paraclete that he would send to them was a person or another God. That is simply people’s interpretation. There is nowhere in the Bible that Jesus either explicitly or implicitly indicated that the Holy Spirit or the Paraclete was a person. The use of pronoun he and etc to represent the Paraclete is only done to suit the view of the interpreters, because of the Trinitarian doctrine, but that is not necessary right.

Remember Christ (aka Michael) defeated the devil in heaven and on earth (Luke 4:33-34, Acts 19:13-15), but he would be successful in deceiving the whole world except God's people who keep the commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus.
Note: "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him" (Revelation 12:9).

its not only the doctrine of trinity that started this way but a lot of teachings and festivities which had no place or mention in the bible came about this way too, an example being Christmas which was stated around the era when trinity was rearing its head.it was lifted straight from paganism and sugar coated as Christ's birthday.
though in those days few had the bible to check things for themselves, the few that did and stood up against such things were excommunicated and in some cases even killed by the church.
today there is no such excuse, the bible is readily available and God want us all to know the truth for ourselves and not only rely on a priest or pastor. in fact some of these people do not want their followers to know the bible well, so that these church goers will continue to rely on them and enrich them in the process. where they fail to explain some of these man made teachings they say it is a mystery and you need the spirit to understand. which spirit God's or Satan's? for there are many spirits in this world.
logical reasoning has always being ways the early disciples used to teach. the book of Acts is full of them. Let me correct, by way of introduction that there is no where in the scriptures that suggests Jesus was created. If we go by the guiding principle that we are not go beyond what is written, it is conclusive to remain silent about it.
When the Bible says He is the firstborn of all creation, it means he is the Origin of all creation.
Yes, John 1 vrs 1 gives us something to think about. The fact is, the Word of God is God himself. The WORD of God is an expression of God himself.There is a limit to separating your word from your very self, I mean your nature. So, God is saying that He cannot be separated from his WORD, the very WORD that became flesh.
When you try to create a mental distinction between the Father and the Son, in your worship, you miss everything because, everything that belongs to the Father belongs to the Son and vice versa. The Holy Ghost that testifies of the Truth affirms this fact.
Our worship of God has not began, without Christ, and without the Holy Spirit, our Worship is has no authenticity. Yes, the Father is to be worshiped in Spirit and in Truth.
When you try to strip Christ of his deity, immediately, you realize even in your spirit that something is amiss. This is because our Worship of God is authentic through the power of the Holy Spirit who testifies of Christ. Jesus, in his own words says "That men ought to honor the Son, even as they honor the Father". And one is to honor the Son as expressed in the Scriptures(Repentance and forgiveness of sin in his name, Baptism in his name, singing praises in his name)
The Father has desired that the Son takes preeminence in all things, and God's spirit upon Christ is without measure(infinite). The Father loves the Son and HE has given his spirit unto him, without measure.
God wants us to be clear in our mind that Christ is an exact imprint of HIS very nature. You cannot talk about God, in totality without talking about Christ, for the fullness of God dwells in Christ.
Christ is the power of God. Christ is the Wisdom of God.
In the Old Testament, we see titles ascribed to God, as well as promises of God, little did we know that those titles are equally ascribed to the Son, and that those promises of God are also Prophecies about Christ. Why is so? God fulfills his promises through the instrumentality of his Son. That is why the Scriptures says "All the promises of God, has become Ye and Amen, through Christ Jesus". Or we can simply say those promises of God are the same as the Prophecies about Christ and they have been fulfilled as such.
Moses saw the glory of God, indeed had a very close relationship with God, probably, more than all the Prophets who were to come, according to God's own decree.
Other Prophets of God saw a glimpse of the Glory of God in many and divers ways and forms.
However, none of all these compares to the knowledge the Son has about the Father. Indeed, Jesus says "No one knows the Father more than the Son does and no one knows the Son more than the Father does".
The Son had his glory alongside the Father before the world began. Prior to his ascension, He said to the Father "Glorify me with the Glory I had alongside with you before the world". The Father answered and said "I have glorified you, already, and I will glorify you again".
The summary of all these is that True Worship is in the name of the Son of God, and in respect of the presence of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin, righteousness and judgement. The Holy Spirit does not speak of himself but testifies of Christ to the glory of God.
The Father is distinct from the Son, in person, but the same nature as the Son. All authority are bestowed upon the Son. God has, voluntarily, bestowed upon the Son all authority and power.

A clear study of the Scriptures, however, reveals that God, who is God, and whose invisible qualities are clearly seen in the things that he has made has revealed himself to humanity in the person of his Son.
It is when we come to the knowledge of the Scriptures that we discover that this personality who came and dwelt among humanity is no ordinary being.
He is more than a King, Priest or Prophet. He is a being whose very nature expresses who the Father is, and He is the one who chooses to reveal the Father to whoever He(Christ) pleases.
The fact is that the more we come to know Christ, the more we come to know God. Knowing God is directly proportional to knowing Christ.
Jesus Christ is the Son(of God). He is also Everlasting Father, according to the prophecy is Isaiah. When Philip ask of Christ to show them the Father(God). Jesus said unto him "All these while that I have been with you, have you not known me. Whoever has seen me as seen the Father(also), for the Father is in me and I am in the Father".
When Christ was on Earth, it took the Grace of God for people to really know who he was, considering the circumstances and environment in which he was born.
One would have expected that the Messiah would have been born in a palace. However, God uses the foolish things of the world to shame the worldly wise.
Jesus Christ was sent by the Father, and the one who sends is greater than the one who is sent. This is in harmony with what Jesus says "The Father is greater than I".
On the other hand, by virtue of his very nature and the authority bestowed upon him, even titles ascribed to the Father such as Everlasting Father, Mighty God etc.,
makes one to conclude that the Father shares his glory with the Son.
There are those who may argue that, yes "Mighty God" is ascribed to the Son, but not "Almighty God". However, in the book of Revelation, when Almighty God is coming, it is actually Jesus Christ who is coming as the text shows.
Christ is the Alpha and Omega, even as the Father is Alpha and Omega etc.
The Scripture is so presented in such Wisdom and Power that it is not just enough to choose verses here and there to debate on this issue, for after all you cannot know God without knowing Christ, let alone trying to distinguish the Father from the Son.
The more we know Christ the more we are filled with awe. It is this awesomeness that provokes us to surrender to our maker. Each time the Lord reveals his glory to us more and more, the more we surrender to him by admitting that indeed we have, hitherto, not known him, and for that matter not known God.
Jesus is not competing with the Father, rather it pleases the Father HE takes glory in his Son. Jesus says "Whatever you do, do it in my name that the Father would be glorified in the Son". That is why in our Worship of God, the name of Jesus is in preeminence, because the Father automatically takes glory in the Son, even as we sing praises to God in the name of his Son.
Where God puts his name, there shall be the obedience of the nations, according to prophecy. In the Old Testament God put his name in Jerusalem, precisely, in the Temple where the Shakinah glory of God was.
God name is now in his Son. Hence there is no name given under the heavens that one can be saved, apart from Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
In John 17(Please, I encourage you to read the entire chapter), Christ said unto the Father, the world do not know you, and I have come in your NAME, the NAME that you gave me, that they may know you.
All the various attributes of God as enshrined in his name in the OLD Testament are embodied in Jesus Christ.
In the book of Revelation where the angels bow in Worship to God, Christ is also there to receive his due reverence.
Calling upon God in the name of Jesus, is the same as calling upon Jesus Christ.
Let me also say that, in heaven on Earth, it is in the name of Jesus Christ beings bow to.
All things in the name of Jesus Christ, to the Glory of God!
