Southampton join race to sign Ghana ace Andre Ayew

English Premier League side Southampton have now entered the race to sign Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew.

The Saints will make a move for the player if their attempts to sign Nathan Redmond from Norwich fail. Southampton have lost five players this summer transfer window and are eager to sign quality replacements.

Ayew, who is contracted with Olympique Marseille, has been targeted by Ronald Koeman but it is unknown if the Ghana international will be interested.

Marseille are keen to cash in on the winger before the summer transfer window closes tonight.

The 24-year-old personally rejected a move to fellow English Premier League side Hull City.
