Chicago Fire and Ghana forward David Accam says he is not looking to leave the MLS club “at the moment.”

For the past few days, the former Helsingborgs IF winger has been reported to be angling for a return to Europe. Reports in the Turkish media have gone on to claim Accam and his agent have held talks with Bursaspor who have him in their list of wing options in the summer transfer window.

One of such reports claimed the 26-year-old held talks with new Bursaspor coach Paul Le Guen but Accam is having none of it.

“I want to be in a team where I will develop and be the best I can and also win trophies. At the moment I think we have it here [Chicago Fire],” he says.

“I don’t know, no one knows anything,” the player added.

Accam also notes that he is staying grounded knowing there “will be a lot of interest” in him.

“In soccer, anything can happen in the future, whether here or in Europe; I don’t know where I will be but I know there will be a lot of interest so I’ll keep doing well and try to help the team,” he stated.

David Accam recently scored his first career hat-trick in a league game against Orlando City.
