Akuffu wants GH¢70,000 .....

....before renewing Kotoko contract

Footy-ghana.com can reveal that Asante Kotoko midfield enforcer Michael Akuffu is demanding a new signing on fee in the region of GH¢70,000 before he signs a new contract with the club.

According to our sources, Akuffu has met with the Asante Kotoko hierarchy over plans to hand him a new two-year contract, since his current contract expires next month.

Footy-ghana.com can confirm that Akuffu’s managers are asking for a signing-on fee of an amount in the region of GH¢35,000 per year for the two-year contract.

Footy-ghana.com also understands that the player is asking for a monthly salary of GH¢1,500 before he agrees to sign the two-year contract.

Footy-ghana.com has learnt that efforts are being made by the Asante Kotoko interim management to arrive at a compromise with the midfielder.

Akuffu has helped Asante Kotoko to two consecutive Premier League titles over the last couple of years.
