Essien set for knee surgery

MICHAEL ESSIEN will undergo surgery on his knee in Paris tomorrow.

The Black stars midfielder flew back early from the African Nations Cup last week after the injury in training with Ghana.

Chelsea hope Essien will return for the second leg of next month's Champions League clash with Inter Milan.
