Frimpong to continue talks with Austrian side Graz

Ghana international midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong is to continue talks with Austrian top-flight outfit Sturm Graz over a permanent contract, GHANAsoccernet.com investigations have revealed.

The 22-year-old, who played for English side Arsenal, is a free agent after leaving Barnsley in the summer, and now the Ghana international is ready to continue his career abroad.

He went to Austria at the start of the month to start talks with Sturm Graz over a possible deal to join them but could not reach an agreement.

GHANAsoccernet.com insiders claim Frimpong will continue talks from Thursday to see if an agreement can be reached for him to sign a two-year contract.

Frimpong came through the youth system at the Emirates, and played in the Premier League for Arsene Wenger’s side.

Injury curtailed his progress and he subsequently had loan moves to Wolves, Charlton and Fulham before he moved to the Championship with Barnsley last term.

Now Sturm Graz have made their move and Frimpong is heading to Austria to talk over a deal.
