Galatasaray deal for clubless Osei Pele

90 MINUTES can exclusively reveal that former Kessben FC and Hearts of Oak striker, Edwin Osei ‘Pele’ is set to leave the country to Turkey by the end of the month after Galatasaray agreed to sign him.

Galatasaray, arguably the most successful club in Turkish football history have apparently been impressed about the little footage they have seen of the 20 year old goal poacher and are ready to gamble on him by first signing him on an initial 6-month renewable contract to study him. Free agent, Osei Pele will be allowed to hone his skills with the Galatasaray ‘B’ team as an assessment before they finally splash the cash on the Hearts of Oak reject.

According to the Europe based agent who struck the deal, Galatasaray have identified Pele as the player for the future, the youngster scheduled to depart Ghana on January 2 could soon be playing against the likes of Manchester United in the UEFA Champions’ League if he can live up to the hype during the 6 months period.

Meanwhile, not less than three clubs in the local league have intensified the chase for Osei Pele who they have targeted to end their goal scoring woes.

Real Tamale United who due to financial disagreements, failed to get the player to append his signature despite registering him for their return to the Glo Ghana Premier League, are back in the hunt desperately after a disastrous start to the 2012/13 season.

90 MINUTES reliable sources also reveal that Ashantigold have also tabled a mouthwatering deal for the striker, with Berekum Chelsea and Kumasi Asante Kotoko also keen.
