Glo vow to stage finest CAF Awards yet

Telecommunications giants, Globacom are leaving no stone
unturned to make this year’s GLO-CAF Awards ceremony the best organized yet
since they took over the sponsorship of the continental showpiece 8 years ago.
The countdown to see which of defending titlist, Yaya Toure,
his Ivorian compatriot, Didier Drogba or Cameroonian star, Alexander Song will
emerge the 2012 African footballer of the year is now down to days with the
December 20 mega event at the Banquet Hall of State House in Accra getting ever
closer.
And the Glo Mobile Ghana organizers have sworn to make the occasion
expected to be graced by among them, FIFA President Sepp Blatter, CAF capo Issa
Hayatou and many other dignitaries a great success.
A variety of music, dance , comedy and magic led by Mali’s legendary
Salif Keita, Nigeria’s enigmatic masked performer, Lagbaja, South Africa’s
Yvonne Chaka Chaka and her world famous a chapella-singing compatriots -
Ladysmith Mambazo have been lined up to entertain guests at this year’s gala.
The customers of Glo are also not left out with 250 special
invitation slots pledged for active customers and subscribers to attend the
awards ceremony as well as sponsorship of two out of that number on an all-
expense-paid trip to Dubai.
The Glo Customer Care Department announced on Wednesday that
since the promo commenced on November 15, one hundred (100) subscribers have so
far qualified for invitation and are already being contacted to claim their
invitation tickets to the Glo-CAF Awards gala at designated Glo outlets.

rare opportunity of bringing our cherished Ghanaian subscribers under the same
roof and within arm’s length of the superstars, icons and headliners of
Africa’s most popular sport,” said Derek Obuobi, Head of administration at Glo
Mobile Ghana.
