Kotoko hold two training sessions in Malabo

Asante Kotoko have held two training sessions after arriving in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea for their CAF Champions league first round return leg match against home side Sony Ela Nguema.

Footy-Ghana.com can reveal that the hotel provided for the team by the hosts is Federation hotel and is located just within the confines of the multi-purpose Estadio Internacional de Malabo after arriving at 17:40 GMT on Wednesday.

The Kotoko team held two training sessions on Thursday and per CAF regulations, will be allowed to train on the field of the Estadio de Malabo at 17h00 on Saturday.

In a related development, footy-Ghana.com can exclusively report that striker Seidu Bancey who faced problems with his documents when the team was flying out on Wednesday and had to stay back had his issue solved.

He finally left the Kotoka International Airport to join his teammates in Equatorial Guinea at 12.45 GMT on Thursday.

The pressure is on Nguema’s Ivorian coach Yelato Silue to find a magic wand for his boys to overturn a 7-goal deficit suffered at the hands of the two-time African Champions who are on a return to continental club football after four seasons.

The match is billed for 17h00 local time on Sunday.
