Medeama request for Kotoko's Yahaya Mohammed

Premier League highflyers Medeama Sporting Club are confident of landing Asante Kotoko midfielder and top scorer in the ongoing GLO Premier League Yahaya Mohammed.

The sublime Amidaus Professionals loanee is seen as a vital addition to the Tarkwa-based team in their pursuit of the Glo Premier League title this year.

Medeama will not be busy in the January transfer market but for the pursuit of Yahaya Mohammed and the promotion of two reserve team players.

In an interview on the Sports Express show on Kapital Radio the Spokesperson for the club Steve Pinah said; “the only player we are looking at signing is Yahaya Mohammed whom we have written to Kotoko requesting for his services.”

Yahaya Mohammed is having a stormer of an opening half of the season having scored eight goals to lead the top scorers chart and recently called up by Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah as part of the provisional twenty-six man squad to prepare for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.
