SWAG Premier Player of the year receive DSTV award

DSTV has presented SuperSport’s promised reward package to SWAG Premiership Player of the Year Augustine Okrah at a short ceremony in Accra.

Oscar Mensah, Operations Manager at MultiChoice Ghana, presented the package to the 20-year old on behalf of Cecil Sunkwa-Mills, General Manager of MultiChoice Ghana
The Bechem United playmaker was earlier presented with the award citation at the 39th MTN SWAG Awards Night held at the Banquet Hall of the State House on May 17, 2014.

SuperSport, the league’s broadcast holders, fulfilled its earlier promise to present a set of goodies to the best player, including a complete single set of its DSTV Explora satellite package.

Okrah was crowned best player for the 2013/14 season after he won more man-of-the-match awards than any other player, topped the goalscorer’s chart with 16 goals and provided 10 assists. His performance was hailed as incredible because it meant he scored or assisted +80% of all the goal Bechem United scored this season.

It is understood Bechem United have agreed terms with Swedish side BK Häcken for Okrah to joinloan. 14 clubs had submitted official transfer bids for him.
