Yaw Preko replaces Prince Owusu at Black Satellites

The assistant Coach of the National Under 20 team, the Black Satellites, Prince Yaw Owusu has been fired by the technical team of the Ghana Football Association.

Footy-Ghana.com sources say the former Tema Youth Coach has been told to stay away from the club after failing to take part in any of the CAF intermediate, advanced and the License A Certificate courses currently ongoing at the Ghanaman Soccer School of Excellence in Prampram.

Reports reaching Footy-Ghana.com indicates that ex Ghana International Yaw Preko is likely to take over from fired Yaw Owusu to be the assistant Coach of the National Under 20 team the Black Satellites.

Preko, a CAF License C coaching certificate holder was once one of the assistants of the Orlando Wellington-led Satellites technical team. He deputized for Orlando Wellington at a tournament held in South Africa in May last year, which the Satellites failed to progress past the group stage.

The ‘not qualified’ Prince Yaw Owusu who is also the technical director of Premier League side Tema Youth assisted stand-in coach Maxwell Konadu to qualify the National Under 20 Male team to the upcoming Youth Championship in Algeria next year.
