Kingson for Manchester United?

After a magnificent performance Ghana at the last Fifa World Cup in Germany, Black Stars first choice goalkeeper, Richard ‘Oleley’ Kingson is set join English Champions Manchester United this summer when the transfer window opens according to reports.

According to the reports, a top class goalkeeper is set to be on Sir Alex Ferguson’s shopping list this summer and the die is expected to fall on the Ghanaian goalkeeper who was voted as the Third World Best Goalkeeper after Italy’s Buffon and Ricardo of Portugal in the last Germany World Cup due to his ‘magic saves’ that helped the Stars reach the second round of the Germany World Cup in their maiden appearance.

Kingson, who present club Hammarby top the Swedish Premier League, will be free in June when his three month deal with the Swedish side runs-out.

Should the deal go through, and then goalkeeper Kingson will be the first Ghanaian goalie to play in the Premiership and the fifth in the Barclay Premiership after Tony Yeboah, Alex Nyarko, Michael Essien and John Paintsil. Kingson played for Premiership side Great Olympics before joining Turkish giants Galatasaray in 1996 after participating in the Atlanta Olympics Games in U.S.A
