Liberty/Kotoko League match rescheduled to Sunday

Accra, Nov. 3, GNA - The Premier League Board has accepted to reschedule the 5th Week Glo Premier League match between Liberty Professionals and Kumasi Asante Kotoko to the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium on Sunday, November 8.

The PLB in a statement issued by Kwesi Ampim Darko, Deputy General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association copied to GNA Sports said that Liberty's request for a change of venue and date has been accepted and all parties must adhere to the new schedule.

Liberty were to host Kotoko at the Carl Reindorf Park at Dansoman on Saturday but the host requested for a rescheduling of the match because of the expected huge crowd and its attendant insecurity at the venue. The release therefore asked the Chief Executive Officer of the National Sports Council and his staff to accordingly assist in organizing the match at the stadium.

The Referees Committee has also been requested to inform the match officials about the rescheduling of the match to Sunday. It called for the cooperation of all stakeholders to ensure a successful match.
