Agbovi Lauds Referees For High Performance

The chairman of the Referees Appointment Committee of Ghana Football Association (GFA), Albert Agbovi has commended referees for the high level of performance displayed in the ongoing GT Premier League.

He told SPACE FM that the sense of impartiality on the part of the referees has resulted in the situation where more teams are winning on away grounds. ?In the past, it was very difficult for away teams to win matches but thanks to impartial officiating, the trend has changed?, he boasted

Mr. Agbovi wondered why people continue to question appointment of certain referees when they know they (referees) are impartial. He insisted that the era when matches were fairly distributed to referees to officiate belongs to history. ?The only way one can guarantee his/her continuous stay on the field is to apply the laws of the game to the letter and display high sense of impartiality?, he emphasized.
