We all know how dangerous and corrupt his hapless government is but that should not impede this prosecution for the very simple reason that the people must be able to go full throttle after all public servants who are alleged to have broken the law of the land. The law should be no respecter of persons. The supreme interest of our nation must always be central in our pursuit of a stable, functioning and mature democracy.

Yes, Opuni must be able to reasonably explain away how he came by that colossal amount of money.

Let's hold high the spirit of pure accountability no matter who is involved. That is the only sensible and viable way we can create a stable democratic environment.

Bulk of such funds would have been allocated to the Ministry of sanitation and waterways under Cecilia Dapaah, the Minister of Sanitation and waterways. The Odaw, one of the major source of yearly flooding in Accra remains full of silt, cars, tyres and all sorts of rubbish today. I wonder what happened to the World Bank funds allocated to the ministry of Sanitation under Cecilia Dapaah whose house was full of dollars which came to public attention curtesy of her maids and servants???

The day the judge who initially replaced Hoenyenuga on this case was hurriedly dispatched to Kumasi by the new Chief Justice, Gertrude Torkonoo was the day of confirmation without a doubt that the judiciary is corrupt right to the bone! The crime of the dispatched judge was to say he wants fresh hearing with his own ears for his brains to come to correct judgement. That was too much to ask for, the AG couldn’t produce his star witnesses who have committed perjury and are in fear of the consequences and refusing to re-appear in a new trial!. God of mercy will pronounce his righteous judgement in the end.
