Sadly, some of my vulnerable Asante and Akyems people will believe that someone can "float or fly" sea to Kumasi, which is about 250 metres above sea level. Considering all things being equal, no encounters such as mountains and hills to penetrate, cities, towns and villages population to be displaced, rivers and streams to either float the sea canal or go underground beneath them. At least basic scientific principles teach us that water finds its own levels, then the harbour and its breakwaters will have to be in a valley of about 300-500 metres (about half a kilometer) deeper. Feasibility studies of soil feature and potential seepage as well as evaporation, noting that they water evaporates at all temperatures but higher in higher temperatures such as Ghana.

Concreting, material, labour and architectural costs are something that need further studies also. By the way is that the immediate felt needs for the populace?
