Citizens of countries whose democracy is matured would understand the analogy of Bawumia's driver's mate story.It shd be possible for Bawumia to imprison Nana Akuffo Addo when he becomes the President bcoz it is not everything that he shd agree with him intoto even if today he is his boss.In Zambia a former President was imprisoned by his vice when the latter took over from his boss.In Ghana I don't think most Ghanaians would accept that,they would say it is betrayal.

What Dr. Bawumia is saying has absolutely no logic whatsoever. What does our Constitution say about the job of the Vice President? Is he just a token, a toothless bulldog, a poodle or a driver’s mate as Dr. Bawumia has described his Job as the vice president of our country? What this NPP government is really saying to Ghanaians is that they don’t have a party political policy of government to be followed but rather the policies of their Flagg bearer who becomes president of the country. Nana Addo came with some unbelievable weird Dictatorial Democratic policies and now the driver’s mate is asking us to try him for his new policies. Unfortunately,Ghana is Not a Chop Bar to be tried like that. Ghana now deserves an experienced licensed driver to do the business and shut the school children politics of the NPP.

Today, I’ve realised they’re so tribalistic and exist to do the bidding of Kumaishene. If you’re an Akan like myself but not an Ashanti. Ask yourself these questions:

- What has the NPP as a party done for your region and people compared to what they do and are doing for Kumasi and Ashanti?

-Do they do the bidding of your chiefs as they do for Kumasihene ?

DO NOT WASTE YOUR VOTE ON THE NPP. It’s not an Akan party. It’s ASHANTI PARTY.

Vote for Kumchacha or Hasan Ayariga even but not the NPP. Let us teach them a lesson

You are going to be an "aplanke" too (assuming Ghanaians want to retrogress and vote for your short-sighted John), and so will all of John's appointees. Except that he cannot negate your constitutionally mandated functions as the vice president.
If you really understand leadership, then Dr. Bawumia was right in saying that he is a driver's mate. You need to be schooled on the principles of management.
As the vice president, you CANNOT initiate anything until the president (the leader) assigns you a role. The cogent reason John had to choose you as his running mate. Could you have appointed yourself his running mate? No!
The "aplanke" cannot charge anybody the lorry fare if the driver specifically tells him not to.
Just piling up empty phrases in order to win votes was what you attempted to do.
You and John cannot prosecute anybody. That is not the function of the executive branch of government.
The judicial branch does that.
Ghana has a weak legal system (the rampant bribery and corruption/stealing?). Judges receiving white envelopes!
John presided over it when he was president. He did not have any solution to it.
The solution to bribery and corruption is to limit the human to human contacts in economic encounters or transactions.
Substantial digital/online transactions and reduce the face to face ones which breed bribery and stealing.
Imagine all the MTTU police officers were robots. It would be highly impossible to 'negotiate' when pulled over for traffic violation.
Nana Addo has shown Ghanaians that he understands our problems better than John Mahama.
Dr. Bawumia will enhance the march towards digitalization and reduce the moral decadence of bribery and corruption.
We have tested John Mahama. Let's test Dr. Bawumia too. Then, we can compare and contrast and find out who is who.
