So what is the Director of Monitoring and Evaluation at the castle doing? Are we being told that the government does not prepare monitoring reports periodically for the information of th President and his cabinet? Are we being told that the government does not demand that impact analyses of its policies and activities be prepared for the information of the President and his cabinet as well as the good people of Ghana. Its a shame that we have these critical ommisions going on at the castle.

In opposition they allowed the Kufuor regime to mind their own business. As a result the NPP looted the Ghana government for eight good years. The fat cats looted the economy from cash (Kwadwo Mpiani), bungalow (Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey), cooking pots (Sekyi-Hughes) etc…..70% of the richest people in Ghana are NPP apparachicks. In the case of NPP, they believe they know better than anybody else and they are the only people who have the divine right to rule Ghana thus they oppose everything NDC does if it is not from the NPP, whether good or bad, from, Chinese loans, judgment debts, appointments and even the inauguration of President Mahama. This enabled the NDC to always be on their toes in whatever they do. From this observation, you can all agree with me that the NPP are better in opposition than NDC. Fellow Ghanaians, let us ensure that NPP remains in opposition for thirty years. After that time, NDC will improve everything and NPP will come back and rule Ghana till thy kingdom come.

Presidents do not normally write their own speeches. However they give guidelines as to what the speech should contain. You were probably not born when Dr Abrefa Busia was prime minister of Ghana. It is in their psyche, in their DNA, in their marrow once they are in opposition. I tell you, the opposition is only doing what it knows best. Let's do a little research on comment made on past presidential speeches since 1992 and one will be shocked at the kind of comments previously made by opposition parties. This annual ritual shows how hollow our opposition parties have been in Ghana. Such infantile mis-behavior is a brain-eating disease that affects only opposition parties. The cure is in winning power.

Obviously, these NPP politicians are still very sour for losing the election. Nana Akomeah and Madam Konadu are showing their anger for their loss, but have nothing better to say. It does not matter what the president says, they will always have something negative to say because that is their nature not to come to terms with their defeat. Their party is still in the defeated mood and seeking ways to save face. As such, they still want to contest an election they have lost fairly instead of moving on to find better candidates to lead their party. If these people wanted the president to talk about what the country had achieved without mentioning his party, which party then brought the achievements to the country? Was it the NPP or the NDC that made the country prosperous? After all, it was the NDC that formed the previous and, is going to be the current government. So, what are these two sore–losers complaining about for mentioning the party instead of the country? This shows the political ignorance and incompetence of the NPP, which could not even organise their members for an election to win. So, let them take their loses and move on. This party really needs a make–over if they want to come back to power.
