A. THE ECONOMY
Ladies and gentlemen, evidence of the true state of the economy can be found in
our everyday lives; in the industries, in the markets, and in the streets. The cost of
doing business has shot up, and so unemployment in both the formal and informal
sectors are widespread. High cost of living is taking its toll on all of us, and
justifiably, public sector workers are demanding pay rise from government. In
brief, standards of living are falling, life is becoming unbearable, and our people
are getting poorer. Public financing are out of control and the economy is in
trouble, to put it simply. What are the causes of the sharp decline in the economic
circumstances of ordinary Ghanaians?
--------------------------------------
IF INDEED THE ECONOMY IS IN THIS STATE CLAIMED BY THE NPP THEN THEY PLAYED A GREATER PART. FIRST THEY HAD EIGHT GOOD YEARS TO TURN THE TABLES BUT ALL NPP DID IS STEALING; LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, WE HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN WHEN UNDER NPP ELECTRICITY, FUEL,WATER TO MENTION A FEW WERE DISASTROUS.
NPP SHOULD KNOW THAT WHAT IS HAPPENING TODAY IS A RIPPLES EFFECT OF THEIR LOOTING AND THE MALADROIT HANDLING OF THE ECONOMY. FOR EXAMPLE NPP LEFT BEHIND HUMONGOUS FOREIGN DEBTS WHICH CRIPPLED GHANA BEFORE ATTA MILLS GOVT TOOK OVER. THE RECORDS ARE THERE FOR ALL TO SEE.
-------------------------------------
PUBLIC DEBT
First, public debt: The Mills-Mahama administration inherited a total public debt
of US$8 billion (paragraph 94 of 2009 budget statement), the equivalent of
GH¢9.5 billion at the beginning of 2009. Within just 4 years, this debt has
escalated to GH¢33.5 billion. It means every year, from 2009 to 2012, the NDC
led government added GHC 6billion to our public debt, 55% of which was
borrowed locally. This means that government has been competing with the
private sector for money domestically. This causes interest rates to rise thereby
making it harder for domestic businesses to borrow and create jobs. The effect is
that our youth are roaming the streets without employment.
Sadly, it is these unemployed youth who are expected to repay this debt some day.
At Ghana’s current debt, each of us (25 million Ghanaians) owes GH¢1340, that is,
over 13 million old cedis per person. This debt does NOT include the US$3 billion
Chinese loan. If we include the yet-to-be-disbursed Chinese loan, each Ghanaian
would owe about ¢1600, that is about 16 million old cedis. The question is, what
is there to show for all these funds being borrowed in our name? Not much, except
dubious payments to Woyome and Construction Pioneers, and other NDC cronies.
Ladies and Gentlemen, this is the true state of the nation’s economy.
-------------------------------------
IN FACT, THERE IS NO SUCH STATISTIC OF WHAT PUBLIC DEBT AS CLAIMED ABOVE BY THE NPP, THE REAL THIEVES. THE 33.5 BILLION DOLLARS PUBLIC DEBT WAS ACTUALLY CREATED BY NPP. NPP DID NOT LEAVE A DEBT OF 9 BILLION DOLLARS BUT RATHER LEFT BEHIND ($9+$21)=$30 BILLION ALL IN DOLLARS. THE $21BILLION DOLLARS REPRESENT FOREIGN DEBTS WHICH NPP CREATED.LOOTING WAS PART OF IT AS WE ALL HEARD KUFFUOR'S BROTHER CAUGHT UP IN A DUBIOUS AEROPLANE DEAL.
__________________________________
UNDER NPP, FISCAL DEFICIT WAS 65% OF THE NATIONAL GDP EVEN AFTER REVENUE FROM COCAINE DEALS.
I CAN GO ON AND ON ABOUT THE TRUE STATE OF NPP LIES BUT WE ALL KNOW WHAT THEY ARE LIKE, THEY ARE NONCONFORMIST, IGNORE THEM.

GO OUT THERE AND RECEIVE YOUR REWARD, ALL GHANAIANS. GO AND PAY THE PRICE FOR YOUR FOOLISHNESS. YOU DON'T GIVE A SECOND MANDATE TO AN INCOMPETENT AND CORRUPT GOVERNMENT, NO!! NOT AT ALL, THAT IS ABOMINATION IN DEMOCRACY, VERY SUICIDAL. HAD NDC MANAGED THE ECONOMY WELL, THESE ECONOMIC PROBLEMS WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN THE SITUATION. NDC HAS PRESIDED OVER THE BIGGEST RESOURCES GHANA HAS EVER HAD. THEY HAVE ALSO CONTRACTED MORE LOANS THAN ANY OTHER GOVERNMENT IN OUR HISTORY, BUT THEY HAVE NOTHING TO SHOW FOR THIS. GHANAIANS SHOULD HAVE ENJOYED SOME ECONOMIC PROGRESS AT THIS TIME IN OUR HISTORY. THE ECONOMY IS COLLAPSING BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT IS SO CORRUPT. TO RESCUE THE SITUATION, THE POOR IS NOW BEING FORCED TO PAY. THIS IS INJUSTICE. THIS IS NOT THE GHANA KUFFOUR HANDED OVER TO NDC, HE EVEN ADDED FRESH CRUDE OIL WELLS. NPP TRANFORMED GHANA TO A MIDDLE INCOME ECONOMY WITH LIMITED RESOURCES BUT GOOD POLICIES. NDC IS WOEFULLY REVERSING THESE NPP ACHIEVEMENTS. GHANA'S CURRENT SITUATION IS VERY DISTURBING. WHEN THE HISTORY IS TOLD, IT WILL BE SAID THAT GHANAIANS WERE OFFERED FREE SECONDARY EDUCATION, IMPROVED UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE, SOCIAL HOUSING FOR THE POOR AND AN EGALITARIAN SOCIETY BUT 50% SAID NO THANK YOU. THEY PREFERRED ECONOMIC "WOYOMISATION" , PHANTOM DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS, PHILANDERERS FOR LEADERS, MACHIAVELLIAN DISRESPECTFUL CORRUPT LOUTS AND A VISIONLESS EVIL GOVERNMENT. I AM SO PROUD I VOTED FOR NANA AKUFFO ADDO.

He is also going to work hard with his team to deliver to the good people in Ghana and by his grace the people would give him another term. This belligerent MPs are not qualify to be called Hon. Indeed they are a disgrace to Ghana politics especially the double standard that they are exhibiting .

A really exhaustive State of the Nation Address, whose value would be felt provided the Minority stays in Parliament and forces the NDC to engage in debate.

no matter what the interpretation is the facts and figures dont lie , if only 1 % of what was written in this npp state of the nation address is true then we are in serious trouble with no hope . its time to forget the partisan politics and encourage all to join together to remedy the situation asap . no more learn on the job ministers like fifi kwetey or those who are interested in positions with perks and benefits but contribute nothing .like it or not pepeni dog eaters or ewe cat eaters are our people and definitely should be able to perform better than this . If not they should expect a real war or revolution in the very near future as these abysmal results surely deserve to be punished. When they fight so hard for power and the right to rule people assume that they do so because they have some kind of plan or vision for the better of the people but with this its obvious they have no damn idea what they are doing even after 30 years , they should begin to think about going away quietly or face the full wrath of an angry disappointed people , a word to the wise is enough , remember what happened to Gaddafi and stop playing with the illiterate who have no idea of the consequences. this govt doesnt even have 6 months before things explode
