I DONT FEEL SORRY FOR STUPID FOOLS. DRUNK, SLEEPIN BEHIND THE WHEEL OR OVERSPEEDING.....
According to eye witness account, a tipper truck coming from the Lapaz stretch of the road for inexplicable reasons lost control and rammed into a tanker on the other lane.
The driver of the heavy duty vehicle was not seen, but eyewitnesses confirmed the death of at least five persons and several injured.

More than 80% of people sitting behind wheels are KILLERS ON OUR ROADS. They don't in any way qualify to drive sheep or cattle to the abattoir let alone human beings.
These drivers are school drop-outs or outright illiterate nincompoops who lack knowledge of the most basic rules of driving and for who sitting behind a steering wheel & killing people is all they can do.
The police & DVLA must take steps to rid our roads of these killer drivers. They can start by exacting very hefty fines plus imprisonment on such killer drivers in addition to suspending their licences. We need to get serious.

Brother, speed bumps will not solve the problem so long as we remain indiciplined on the roads, these encompasses vehicle road wealthyness, and most importantly driver qualification; if you and I should go out now with the permit to examine our drivers, expecially the comercial ones, you will realise most of them can hardly read the road signs let alone understand and apply them hence a lot of trying and error occur on our roads every other second. The onus lay on the authorities to take the bull by the horn and apply the lwas to the letter.
The other issue is our inability to deferenciate between highway and ordinary traffic/single lane types we're used to. There is a price for every decision we make. Have a good day Bro.

It is strange that people are dying on this accursed road every week since it was constructed and up to date, the authorities/politicians have not provided a solution to ease the carnage.
The obvious and most immediate remedy would be to have visible police presence along the entire stretch. Its alright even if they go and take bribes from drivers and pedestrians alike. At least their presence and extortionate habits will deter the kind of foolishness that is killing so many people.
Secondly and most importantly, remove the name of Adolph Hitlers next of kin, George Bush, from the road.
It is the curse of the many hundreds of thousands of innocent people that were slaughtered all over the world, particularly in Iran, in George Bush' mad desire to simply prove that America is powerful, that is by extension, having a toll on us.
A word to the wise ............

If one can recalled, the roads accident kills in everage over 200 people on our roads every months, one can ask, are we human-beings that was created by GOD who gave us BRAINS to use, or we are just belongs to the animal kingdom. Do the Government whose first worker, is the Police find out what causes those numerous accidents, and what solutions have they found to solve them. I think NO, and the accidents continues unabated.

I think the Ghana Highway Authority or the Government of Ghana need to educate the public on how to use a highway/freeway. It appears Ghanaians are having a tough time using this N1 highway. The way people are dieing on this road is unacceptable. If Ghanaians don't know how to use this highway then we have a long way to go. Because for Ghana to meet certain standards in the world, we are going to need more of these roads (highways/freeways) in the country, and that means more people are going to die by using these roads.
