Ghana can and should go after the shareholders of this shell company personally.
The charges against Waterville are of a criminal nature, therefore, the corporate veil that will normally shield the shareholders and directors from liability can be "pierced" as it were to reveal their identities and go after their personal assets.
In this particular case, everything points to Baron Ernesto Taricone as the shadowy figure behind this whole criminal enterprise. Evidence that he is the SOLE shareholder and a bonafide director of Waterville Holdings BVI can be found here: h t t p://offshoreleaks.icij.org/nodes/139253

Thank you DKB!You and several other Ghanaians interested in this case can help this nation reclaim the money through citizen action. When Martin Amidu was carrying out his civic duty how many of us thought he would win? Yet, he did. He was focused. So can citizen DKB and the rest of the good people.
My fear is that all these corrupt issues would lead to another June 4 if we do not act. Look at Brazil and Turkey today. We Ghanaians must stop blaming corrupt, inept governments and take collective ACTION to overthrow the existing corrupt order through the ballot, through the recall system if there is any? We voted for the corrupt MPs who are inceasing their salaries every now and then. Just take a look at The Insight newspaper's front page cover for Monday and last Saturday's editorial in Daily Graphic.... the chop, chop by civil servants and politicians that the Auditor-General's report for 2011 reveals, and no one takes action makes us look stupid in the eyes of the wise. Gyan Appenteng's write last week end calls upon the editorial staff of Daily Grpahic to help fight corruption. We must all make a contribution.
Agreed, committees come and nothing is done, but, we the people must stand up and demand action. Your articulation shows you feel the pain of the nation, and see the lack of clear leadership across the country (government and opposition, civil society, traditional rulers etc). But, there is hope.
We must stop the public division, private selfishness, the cult of greed, the massive transfer of our resources abroad by the elite etc Martin Amidu demonstrates a comfortable truth for the nation and we must support him.

Pratt is desperately trying to throw dust into the eyes of the public on behalf of his paymasters, the NDC. The only reason this NDC government will not pursue the court's ruling is very simply because this NDC government was part and parcel of Waterville's and Woyome's judgement debt scams. This government on whose payroll Pratt was during the Mills years, was a beneficiary of the judgement debt award and therefore will not chase after itself or its partners-in-crime for restitution!
Pratt knows this but his job is to deceive the public and draw their attention from the collusion of the government in the scam and instead weave some far-fetched Ananse story about Waterville having no office in Ghana! How pathetic!
The E.O. Group of Kufuor/ NPP, which was mysteriously enabled to be a partner in the Jubilee Fields to the tune of hundreds of millions, had no office in Ghana but only a poultry farm and a P.O. Box number! Who says you need an office to do business in Ghana?

Waterville does not have any office and any account in Ghana and cannot really refund a single cedi to Ghana. We do not have any evidence that the same Company have any based office abroad.
The people to blame and condemn first are the NPP Government and NPP itself that gave contract anyhow to Companies no matter they were fit technically and financially to perform or not.
NDC government is doing its best to put things in order after the chaotic ruling of NPP government. So blame first NPP and not NDC. And don't link everything to politics.

UNTILL TODAY, I HAVE ALWAYS RESPECTED THIS KWASI PRATT GUY. BUT AFTER THIS FOOLISH STATEMENT HE IS MAKING, NOT ANYMORE!!! KWASI PRATT IS A FOOLISH MAN TO SAY THAT GHANA IS NOT GOING TO GET A PENNY BACK. LET ME ADVICE GHANA HOW TO GET THE ENTIRE MONEY BACK: THE SUPREME COURT MUST SEND A COPY OF THE JUDGEMENT RULING TO THE COUNTRY SUPREME COURT WHERE WATEVILLE HOLDING OR WHATEVER THEIR NAME IS, IS BASING. THAT COUNTRY'S GOVERNMENT AND THE COURT CAN AND WILL HELP ENFORCE THE DECISION TO RETRIEVE THE MONEY.
DAMN YOU, STUPID KWASI PRATT!!! YOU MUST THINK IN POSITIVE DIRECTION. YOU MUST THINK OF HOW GHANA IS GOING TO GET BACK THE MONEY RATHER THAN HOW WE ARE NOT GOING TO GET IT. KWASIA, ABOA!!!

Thank you Sir. What does Kwasi gain from making such statement? Why not Kwasi keeps quiet if he has nothing to say? Is he happy that Ghana was duped of such amount that could build schools and hospitals? So what does he actually want to say? Can one take $47mil from the American gvt illegally and go free because the one has no office in America? Kwesi you are wise to know that the Americans will come after you wherever you are for that money. So what is Kwesi talking about? If our Supreme Court wants the money back, it's easy. Let the SC follow the hint given by Dauda and the money will paid back. Kwasi has no faith, he is a doubting Thomas. But if Kwesi feels it's impossible for him to bring the money, he should know that we do not need him to retrieve the money. He must shut his unbelief out of this case. By the way, who has asked him to comment on it. Instead of praising Amidu, he is sending out discouraging words. Kwesi, by your words and actions, how do you encourage people like Amidu to do such selfless work for our beloved country Ghana? It's better you make no comments on issues you have no faith in. Please Pratt, do not just talk because you have to talk.

Folks,
Ghana can and should go after the shareholders of this shell company personally.
In case you are wondering what assets this Ghanaian-Italian crook owns, you can check this out: www.royalalu.com/english/pernesto.php
If Ghana is truly interested in retrieving our monies from this guy and his clan, we can easily do so.

How on earth must we give free money to foreigners and turn to borrow? Kwesi, are you thinking straight here? If Ndc gvt fails to go for the money, The next gvt wil go after it.

'Coming events cast their shadows'.I suspect Kwesi Pratt and Okudjeto Ablakwa were peoples who campaigned seriously for the NDc government to pay the judgement debt. It was obvious they had some kick-backs from Watrerville.
Now that the Supreme Court has ordered a refund, those who benefitted are getting jittery, for fear that Waterville would come out with a list of those who benefitted from the payment due to the role they played for the government to pay the money.
Kwesi Pratt's sermon that ghana is not going to get a cedi from Waterville is another way of telling Waterville not to pay the money because he benefited. It is a nice way of telling Waterville not to mention his name because he has the resources to campaign against the court order to refund the money.
Kwesi Pratt and Okudjeto Ablakwa will be exposed for the role they played in the payment of this judgement debt.

The truth of the matter is, Waterville did not receive any from NDC government as stated. The total amount is with NDC and jon Mahama. The used Waterville's name but in actual fact the NdC stole the money. Half of it is with Ofuuigyato Aboakwa, Betty Mould Idrisu, Kwabena Duffour, Ebo barton Oduro, Jon Mahama and Atta Mills's wife. If we can force them to bring the money, they we can get our money back. They just paid the money to themselves. So let us start from that angle before we can get the money back. NDC fools.
