pepeni like all evil men in history is saying its God who gave him victory , Hitler , Stalin and all the intrinsically evil men including Satan also claimed the same. pepeni has put only his own Muslim pepefuo in charge of all key aspects of the nation and their main agenda is to recolonize the Akans so we are his slaves and servants . he has deceitfully used and abused the so called democratic process to achieve this. he is not interested in the welfare of the majority but to push into further poverty and misery the great nations of Akan so that his dimwitted pepeni idiots can handle things easier. today we are now in a feudal middle ages mentality era with no water , electricity or decent wages . any Akan who wishes to do anything good for his own people is frustrated bullied and mobbed by the state and called the worst of names if not thrown outright in jail or killed. championing his cause are the ayigbe who have mastered the art of the hatred of the Akans and together with the agenda of hegemony and chauvinism succeeded in making the lives of most Akans unbearable . let them know God is on our side and we shall win our freedom sooner than they think, long live the republic of Akan

This Professor should give Ghanaians a break. It is known by many that Prof Dodoo is a dye in wool NPP supporter and so will be excited with what happened in Ashiaman. What does he mean when he says that the country lacked good leadership. This has been the swan song of the NPP to make people think that there is everything wrong with the NDC leadership. I do not mind if comes our boldly as an NPP person to do his politiking but it is nauseating when he he hides behind a so called World Health Organisation’s Collaborating Centre for Advocacy and Training in Pharmacovigilance to criticise. There is nowhere in this world where persons are self sufficient. He and his ilk have been always sitting on TV and coming out with all manner of fantasies. For all that he said what good suggestions did he offer to solve the growing unemployment and the various challenges we are facing. He should give us a break.

The problem is not leadership. The problem is the ordinary Ghanaian citizen who is not willing to be led. We all think we know too much and everyone wants to be a leader. It doesn't work anywhere and Ghana is no exception. You can get the best world leader to come and lead Ghana and they will face the same problems our leaders are facing. We need to accept that we can't all be leaders; certainly not at the same time. If we want to have a great country we have to be prepared to follow the instructions of whoever happens to lead us, whether we agree with them or not. Not go round demonstrating, burning markets and simply disobeying everything our leaders throw at us. You don't build nations with that attitude and Ghanains must learn to refrain from that.

Interesting observation but I beg to differ on prof's argument. The failure of politicians to walk their talk, failed or distrust leadership cannot be treated as exclusively being responsible for Ashiaman citizens unruly behavior. In equal terms, the contrast to the Arab spring is insightful and unfortunate line of linkage. The crux of the matter but the least is embedded in the nature of the political system being practiced in Ghana. We have a political decentralized system that is still very much held up economically and politically by the central government or better placed, lacks the capacity to perform on their own, yet legislatively semi-autonomous. So the blame first and famous lies at the door stairs of the system itself. The municipal and the district assemblies do not very much change hands with any change of government. The question therefore is where are their priorities? How are the citizens updated on new government policies and what is their role as citizens united? Not until we recognize our roles as citizens in government and that of the local representative in the national assembly, this blame game will continue. Prof. take note, politics is not about getting everything a politician promises under the sun done but it is about outlining the way forward. No politician, and I mean it- even in the developed world can live up to fulfilling every single promise that they made to the electorates. It is, however, up to the polite to decipher out of the dense load of promises that which is feasible and achievable to that which is not. On this note as responsible men and women let's use the little opportunity we get to educate the less educated ones. God bless Ghana.

Ghanaians should not expect anything good out of this contested presidency because they lack what it takes to deliver. The ability and the gumption to deliver has eluded them and that's why, after 8 years of progressive growth with all the indicators to show for it under John Kufuor's gov't, just a little over 4 years, the thieving bunch of inept and incompetent apology of NDC politicians led by John Mahama, can say without any shame that, the meat is now left to the bones.
