Whiles some executives are visiting Ken Kuranchie, others are condemning him and saying that he deserved to be in cells. So which one is the official stand of the NPP?

There was no trial, no directions, no guidelines, kangaroo court and no pre-sentence report. Why 10 days? If he had gone down on his knees and begged, would that have satisfied the learned judges as demonstrating sufficient remorse?
Why Ho jail? This is palm tree justice. If you were at the wrong end of the criminal justice system, or a member of his family, you would think very carefully before adding insult to injury.
This is suppression of freedom of expression and an abuse of power.
A criminal record means he cannot travel to several countries. It destroys the soul. He could have received a fine and warning. He does not have a previous record. The SC cannot gag all of us.
Several people have said worse things.

The punishment was not taking retrospecrtive effect!! The touch line was given and the board was cleaned of all the garbage the fake journalsits spwed in Ghana to win laurels from their fake parties!!If one wants to be a hero, that is the price to be paid for it.Whether you are a lawyer or not, freedom of expression goes with a responsibility!!! This vexacious nd fictatious court petition case cannot allow the reckless speakers who wanna undermine the peace we all enjoy in Ghana!!! People cannot take the rest of us for granted and wish we all can be pushed through the stupid dictum of "all die be die"!! Every Ghanaian's life is important so we cannot allow any individual and any group who might have their selfish interest to superimpose on the rest of the Ghanaians. The Judges have started the cracking of the whip and they should never release it to the point of jokes!! Cudos to the Supreme Court!! The Ghanaians are "afraid "people and also like to respect the laws!! They will comply as said by the Judiciary and for that matter, the Judges order will prevail and we will continue with comporting ourselves!! The Judges should continue to be very vigilant and crack down anyone who thinks a free speech or comments they make should not fall under the purvey of the Law!!! No waY FOR THEM!! Humility and honesty in reportage wiil thrive now onwards!!!!!!!!!!!

If the judges (whom I regard as very lenient until now) allowed these idiots a very long rope, warning upon warning, and they simply got bolder and bolder with their vitriolic and they have been punished, you question the validity of the process? Did they not have their day in court? Was it not their choice how they presented themselves and their cases?
What at all do you want? Why can't you simply be reasonable, balanced and fair? Is there nothing good that can ever come out of the supreme court in this case? Give us a break will you?

The issue here is the demonstration of powers of the Law court and On the other hand the respect, law and order from the citizens. It is not an issue of only an affiliate of one political party member involved but both major political party members. It serves as a deterrent to all. Girl, thanks for your candid comment which is impartial even though I sympathize with the victims.

Obedience, humility and self-discipline and always show mercy. However, arrogance, 'I know it all' and 'I am right' attitude don't help our advancement in life and rather make life always unhealthy and very difficult . Let Ken Kuranchie face the consequence of his stupidity and his 'little professor' behaviour. Now Ken has realised that he knows very, very little of the law and cannot take on the honourable and respected supreme Court Justices.

Let us hope as a party, they will take stock and begin to put their house in order, starting with the removal of the likes of Awuku and Owusu Afriyie as 'front men' for the party.
By the way we have not heard from the NDC praising the judges for the discipline imposed on Stephen Atugiba. Why is this the case? He ought to be roundly condemned by the party for his crass and loose statement that got him into trouble.

Regardless of our individual political affillations the truth should always stand. Some of us might comment on issues which the SC would determine as contempt of court. The SC has allowed so much to go on unchecked, hence people being tempted to use all manner of wordsor them. I think after these pronounciations from Sammy Awuku, Ken Kuranchie, Atubiga, though in bad taste has prompted the SC to sit up and is in the process of cleaning the stables. Some of the SC judges should also learn not to insult people who have been summoned b4 them. They should also know that they are as well not above law.
