Nana,
Ghanaian culture today makes people like him perhaps paranoid, especially after being beaten down for so long.
In 2005 or so I offered to help Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, also an inventor in Ghana who has gained more publicity than anyone else and yet he never responded to my calls and messages. I have more than 30 years in Engineering and Manufacturing and could have helped him. It is almost 10 years since he bragged he was going to produce cars in Ghana and he had no clue what it takes to enter into large scale manufacturing, duplicating other peoples inventions for parts of his cars! No clue!
Our culture never taught us how to work together and hence the white man always beats us with their understanding of collaboration, formation of corporations, raising capital through venture capital, bonds and stock market, etc.
The second aspect is of course the braggadocio part,, but then if this man is well educated he should understand some of what we are saying here. Governments can help, as Japan and Singapore did, and China did. However in the long run is private capital that works best!

Yet in 2012 I was still exposed to the problems about how the Government didn't help him, I mean Apostle Safo.
In fact I couldn't meet the man himself. One of his "lieutenants" expressed his disappointments for the lack of support. I was to go with him to have a glimpse of what it all entails about the factory and the numerous products they said they were manufacturing but pondering over things, I thought there was something wrong about the tale.
I believe he could have had support the way they said their inventions were.

So why anybody lend money for real estate? Published Interest rates for
long term real estate are around 29% but then for Trading the Banks can get 80-100% or more.

ITS GREAT TO KNOW HOW SOME GHANAIANS HAVE DILIGENTLY INVENTED THINGS LIKE THOSE MENTIONED ABOVE.
THE TRUTH OF THE MATTER IS THAT IN GHANA'S AFRICA EVERYONE WAITS UPON GOVERNMENT TO COME AND KNOCK AT THEIR DOOR AND GIVE THEM MONEY TO ADVANCE THEIR PRODUCT.
SADLY GOVERNMENTS ARE NOT MANDATED TO GIVE ASSISTANCE TO INVENTORS. THE BEST WAY FORWARD IS TO TAKE YOUR INVENTIONS TO COMPANIES AND TELL THEM YOUR PROPOSALS AND WHY YOU THINK ITS NEEDED, MARKETABLE AND THEREFORE PROFITABLE.
THE COMPANIES, ONCE CONVINCED THAT YOUR INVENTION IS NEEDED AND WILL ONLY HELP SOCIETY BUT ALSO PROFITABLE WILL OFFER YOU THE MONEY TO GO ON A LARGE SCALE PRODUCTION AND SELL.
SITTING IN YOUR BEDROOM AND CRYING, WAITING TO DIE WONT HELP. MANY HAVE DIED WITHOUT SEEING THEIR DREAMS REALIZED. GET OUT AND GO LOOK FOR COMPANIES!

Have you heard of NIH, that is where a lot of medical research is done.
