    Pls if the NDC want us to consider the scrapping of the Book & Research allowance, the government should do well to collect the various monies the NDC has given to their members in the name of GEEDA, SADA etc.

    I was horrified and wrote to oppose these allowances when first instituted in the 1990s. The policy was completely ill-thought of. It was just an excuse for those lecturers to get something to add to their take home.
