Yes he scored 2 goals but he also had a hand in all the other 3 goals. He was allowed to operate as a free agent in this match dashing to the wings constantly to evade his 2 markers. And he did the damage from the wings in the First Half. First he cut in from the right and unleashed a fierce left-footer which the goalkeeper was only able to parry to another advancing forward who poked the ball home for the first. Then he moved to the left wing outwitted 2 defenders and laid on a telling cross for his team mate to tap in for the second. Again he outwitted 2 defenders on the left and laid on another telling cross for another of his mates to score the third. He then moved to the centre after that from where he scored his 2 goals with some exquisite finishing. I hope Akwasi Appiah will deploy Gyan in similar fashion for the Black Stars. I believe he can do a lot of damage from not only the centre but from the wings. Pray he stays strong and fully fit.

Mediocrity.

Playing and scoring against low class teams is nothing to write about .

If all our guys are ready to battle and to contest for every single ball and give their all, Ghana can stand any team in the tournament. Many will disagree but Ghana soccer has come of age, hence coach AA should be very careful as how some of he old players are introduced into the game. I will it and say it right here that even though Sulley Muntari and Essien are seasoned players, they both cannot man our midfield competently.

I was the first to condemn Gyan's decision to joining an Arab team, but I was wrong. This league has shaped Gyan's career in so many ways. His confident level and his goal sense are more than 400% increased. He has mentally been trained to believe in nothing but victory. Gyan now believes that he is the king of soccer not because someone say so, but because he has twice won the goal king. this psychological development is what Ghana needs in all the players. If you really understand soccer, you will then appreciate the player's professional, physical, and psychological strength on and off the field. He is a force to reckon with. Long live Gyan, long live Black Star, and long live Ghana.

He said and I quote "However, this can be improved because the problem is lack of a strong mental strength but it can be fixed" We ought to have the mentality that we are equally as good as them and with determination from the blast of the whistle till the end. I strognly believe that Gyan and his team mates will make Ghanaians proud.
