When we were young stories about dead lawyers being buried face-down were hard to believe.
Several years now I never changed my mind on the subject.
Is there Ethics and Morality in any of the subjects being studied at Makola? or its all extension of robbery in the real Makola market where ordinary ghanaian is always second to the greedy and selfish interests of the market women. Am so disappointed. How many of these acts are under the carpet of the Ghana Legal council? Now we have a lot of these ones as parliamentarians yet we claimed we are fighting corruption!Sadly they are the most respected in parliament because we assumed they know the law. We are professional jokers. Shame.Shame!!!!

This was a clear case of fraud by the two lawyers. The plan was to claim GHc997,000 and pay the clan only GHc42,000, less their fees and pocket the remaining GHc955,000. In my view, this was a deliberate plan by the two lawyers to defraud the state and the clan. In any democratic society where the rule of law is respected, the two lawyers would be arrested and prosecuted for fraud. In fact, their Professional Association, in this case the Ghana Bar Association will also sanction them including the possibility of their licence being withdrawn. Unfortunately and as in all cases, rule of law does not operate in lawless Ghana so nothing will happen to the two fraudsters.

The Judgment debt commissioner should aim his remarks at the Ms. Georgina Woods administration for being an incompetent administration of Ghana's courts. After all majority of the judgment debts floating around in Ghana were awarded by judges sitting on court benches throughout Ghana who have shown contempt for the laws of Ghana. If this sole commissioner can find out this saga was not meritoriously filed why did the judge at the original hearing at the Ho High Court not have known? Why and how did the Woyome judges not know that valid contracts between government and private entities with foreign partnerships or affiliations do have to be preapproved by parliament? Instead of blaming individuals in Ghana for exploiting an incompetent legal system we should look at the undignified and unprincipled people sitting on our court benches who have rendered any number of decisions that cry out for judicial review.

The Judgement Debt Commissioner did well to expose these gangsters led by a lawyer who planned to take from the people to dispossess them of their benefits.

Their action is completely a criminal one and my question is, why did the Commissioner felt short to call the police or refer the case for further police inquiry?
