You were desperate and time was not on your side, so you went for airlines whose licenses were questionable. You knew this already, but intentionally acted like you didn't. U paid a deposit to the airline company to get a receipt, but it was fake. U bribed them to offer you a fake receipt and you connived with the airline to act like they deposit bad already been paid, but it's all lies. CHOBO nkoaa! Why didn't he pay the companies before? He raised $3 million for just that, where is that money raised by the Ambassadors to finance the supporters trip?

What is so stupid a about this statement is the last paragraph. Why didn't Afriyie Ankrah insist of paying these companies if he thought it was unprofessional not to take the money one week before departure?

"When I became Sports minister I found out that some of the travel agencies, what they were doing was that because Government pays for let's say 1000 people, they will take other people who are not part of the 1000 and put them on the flights and the government people left behind. Because if not you ask yourself how come people were stranded?"

Every contract has a clause that deals with such situations, i.e. when one party breaches the contract and what penalty should apply.

There should be a stipulated time limit for the operator to get all supporter to Brazil and anything less than that, the penalty should apply. This is how things are done in every civilized society. However, because of kickbacks received by those responsible, it's always difficult to apply the full clauses of the contract. Under normal circumstances, the Travel and Tour Operators should be writing cheques to the government for the failure to deliver and there will be no need for the Minister to come here to cry.

Ghana needs competent people to manage it not those learning on the job. it is not time for time. lets be a bit serious. job for the boys will not do Ghana any good. the minister did not do any follow ups, did not double check and did not make sure the right thing was done. that is why he failed. The sacked Sports Minister should stop the plenty talk, and accept full responsibility for the disastrous World Cup issues. All Ghanaians want from him is a full account of how he spent our monies and who paid for his wife, kids, brother and other hangers on. He has a nerve blaming everyone but himself. He is not fit to be in the govt. Mahama should quietly send him to the NDC party hq. He is a connection man and has always been. Ask those students whose monies he took when he was a student leader at Legon under the pretext of taking them to the US. The man has no sense of decency. We are still waiting for him to sue Hon Kennedy Agyepong for accusing him of buying three properties in East Legon in his relatives names. God will certainly avenge on behalf of the suffering Ghanaians.
