Anybody knows you hear the name Mahama and you know some sophisticated fishy business or crime is being committed using various institutions as their camouflage cover . You listen to the various videos and you may even hear the gunshots of the captain shooting at the people but no where was he shouting as required to identify himself. Because the people are Akans its easier to blame them instead of finding out the truth. The story doesnt add up , anyone who has taken the time to travel around most pats of the Central region will observe even in the middle of the night even white girls , tourists Europeans and other foreigners walking alone or roaming around unaccompanied and nothing ever happens to them . But then again every once in a while we hear of some white-man being killed because of some gold deal. Lynching is wrong but this has elements of self defense and over reactions to it, remember he fired his gun at the people before with courage they disarmed him . It would have been better if they had handed him over to the police but we all know he would have paid a bribe and those who had apprehended him would have been languishing in jail . There can be no peace without the assurance of justice. On this forum we notice all the lying hypocrites who have come out to condemn the town but fail to notice the crimes committed like corruption , nepotism , incompetence etc. A sin is a sin and a crime a crime , why turn a blind eye to corruption and yet talk shit about one lynch. Police stations are being burned to the ground and now most security agency personnel are scared and shitting in their pants because soon the people will arise. Npp , Ndc and most of the media are in a hype propaganda mode to blame the innocent people of the town rather than properly look at the suspicious activities of the captain . First he was jogging alone with a gun in plain sight . Rather than identify himself chose to engage in shooting at the residents , a sign of substandard training or criminal intent . He was on duty and an officer but had no other lower ranking soldiers accompanying him , was he deployed there to be on holiday so could go jogging around ? Never trust these security forces especially the army as they are involved in all kinds of criminal activity and always have sophisticated propaganda lies to make it appear they did nothing wrong. A wise man once said its stupidity to know the truth but chose to believe the lie.

The authorities were lying that the solders are there to protect the people , which the DCE denied it that he knew nothing about that , because if it is true he might have that information. what crime has he committed for telling the truth ?

this means the government itself is protecting those illegal miners and on selectivity trying to stop and harassed others which is a great impunity under Akuffu Addo

According to the Chief of Defence Staff, Lt Gen Obed Boamah Akwa, Capt. Maxwell Adam Mahama and the military detachment at Upper Denkyira West in the Central Region were not there to protect illegal miners. The Chief of Defence Staff has insisted the soldiers were officially assigned to the area. He emphasised that their presence in the area was “sanctioned” by the military high command with the knowledge of the defence ministry. The CDS fell short of telling Ghanaians what exactly soldiers in Denkyira Oboasi are doing but credible evidence on the ground shows the soldiers are in Denkyira Oboasi guarding a Chinese Mining Company plying their nefarious mining activity in a prohibited forest reserve. My investigations across the country indicate that, GAF personnel active support to illegal mining activity in Ghana is still prevalent. Currently, GAF personnel are still actively guarding Chinese Galamseyers in a prohibited Forest around Kolgo area in the Upper East Region.
So, from what the CDS is saying, it means the military high command sanctioned the protection of illegal miners in a prohibited forest reserve and, once the military has sanctioned such activity, it makes the whole galamsey operation in the forest reserve legal. My goodness, what a stupid CDS. This can only happen in Ghana where university graduates are useless. I suspect the CDS is a university graduate. That is why he is that stupid. Anyway, are Ghanaian soldiers trained to guard Chinese mines in Ghana.

Hi Kofi Oppong, let me educate you a bit on mine safety and security. Providing security in the mines goes beyond guns and ammunition. Guns and ammunition only constitute just 10% of mine safety and security and it is always the last resort. Security and safety in mines are always provided by private organisations who have personnel trained specially for it and must have competencies in certain preventive measures including 1) how to contain uprising of mine workers against management 2) Protection of the mine against external intruders 3) Keeping track of explosives and detonators inventory 4) Measurement of gas concentration in underground tunnels 5) Assessment of Gas emissions from machinery and their ability to suffocate workers 6) Determination of the cleanliness of mine water/air to ascertain whether it contains dangerous pathogens like hookworm and the tuberculosis germs.
So you see, soldiers have no business in the mines. My question is, if there is any apprising in the mine as a result of misunderstanding between mine workers and their management, are soldiers trained well to manage and control the crowed within the mine?
