Arresting the 12 year old because he was seen in the video without evidence that he participated in the murder is ridiculous. It is abhorrent for a 12 year old to watch the gruesome murder but arresting people seen in the video just standing and watching is ridiculous.
Two other reported lynchings, one in Upper East and another in Central region and nobody has been arrested in those lynchings, are some lives worth more than others in Ghana?

Does the police have to come out announcing every, and all investigations into the various reported cases of lynchings before people know that action is being taken? All those raising issues and calling for similar attention like the Capt Mahama issue are just being silly. Surely, the police must address those other crimes as well, which I am sure they are doing. The Capt Mahama case is unique and exceptional because of the way it happened with all the social media video and audio recordings. Moreover, he was on national assignment so you should not expose your ignorance by trying to play the devil's advocate. The public exposure and concern for Capt Mahama's death might turn out to be a turning point for our fight against mob injustice and savagery in this country. In fact, the killing of the Captain and its associated exposure and public outcry could be the needed catalyst for a wake-up call to the police. This could lead to a new awakening for the to give maximum attention and seriousness to other lynchings people are complaining about. Thus, those of you passing negative and uninformed comments on the issue by making silly comparisons should stop, pause and think like rational human beings. It always takes one single event or occurrence among many to bring about exposure and attention to recurring social vices, and the Mahama lynching could be one such event. Let's wise up!!!
