The police have a duty to protect and support the witnesses.
No wonder, the AG tried to abandon the case for lack of evidence.
What are they afraid of if the two murderers are prosecuted.

Has the current commander been briefed about this as an existing supposed police arrangement? If he has then vital questions need to be asked and if not, who gets the blame and what punishment follows.

Why was the COP Dampaare transferred? And which did the police refuse to ensure the informant and potential witness did not benefit from the witness protection program? Was it deliberate? Did the gov't and the State, not have any interest in the prosecution of alleged culprits in the gruesome and heinous murder of a sitting member of Parliament? Giving the kind of revelations which COP Dampaare was uncovering before being speedily transferred, leading to the exposure of the informant and witness, could one hazard a guess, it was deliberate on the part of the State, to repress and eventually blunt the evidence needed to prosecute this murder, by making the critical witnesses, sitting targets? Can these be the reasons why the investigations could not lead to any effective prosecution one year after the death of the sitting member of Parliament, necessitating the new govt instituting fresh investigations into the case for possible prosecution?
Clearly, there are so many issues wrong with this particular case with an informant and witness now exposed and abandoned in the gruesome and heinous murder of the MP, and Ghana deserves some very good answers now.
