The "widow" is a metaphor representing a poor helpless woman or even a man in the Bible hence the "widows' mite"
The Ghanaian church's main preoccupation is to make members more poorer that they become widows to the church , therefore making them god's widow aka trokosi to the whims of the pastors.
The pastor becomes all wealthy and powerful making these "widows" looking up to him with fear in their faces.
The African who created the trokoshi is the same African who had now "moved up" to create the church with similar set-up of men/women to control.
TROKOSI is the NEW CHURCH. You may deny it all you want, but all the elements are there. The overwhelming poverty at many levels within the church is very obvious for all to see, and do not allow their Sunday bligblig and automobiles owned to banks to fool you at all.
And lack of money alone is not poverty. The states of poverty are many, and if you research the Ghanaian church with open mind, you'd realize the many level of poverty the members are under. Most in fact do not have bank savings.
Apart from daily/weekly offerings comes monthly tithes, the bi monthly fundraising drive that manipulates members to donate more than they are willing to part with, then in-between all these, are the bus drive that needs to be paid for with hotel lodging for yet another convention or something that has to do with money.
Then you ask yourself, where do all these money will come from when one is receiving only one or two paychecks a week from where he/she has to pay rent/mortgage, petrol, insurance -auto and health -, car payments, food and children?
Open up your mind and do the maths. When you crunch the numbers, we can see that " slavery" is in the center of this, and the only person receiving "miracle" is the pastor and his wife and to some extent, the very few leadership.

This church folks would gamble with their savings as offering/seed hoping more money would come when they're not doing nothing else apart from their only job.
On Dec 24 last year, this national women's leader in a popular Ghanaian church here in the US contributed $1,000 when the fund raiser called for $1,000, even though her rent was few days due and property tax for her two cars due in January as well but this brainless lady went ahead anyways to part with $1,000 knowing very well she was not doing any other job apart from her only job.
Two weeks into January, the stupid woman was looking for money to pay her taxes.
And right around February, another drive was announced where the pastors wife stood up and advised the congregation on how to give, and claimed you have to give to "hurt", meaning if you had $100, you have to give $95.00, and further said one must even donate their rent money and God will replace it.

At that point I had enough of the Cool aid, 'cos I knew very well if you failed to pay your rent, 10% pelnalty,eviction and sleeping in the streets are all looking at you in the face.
But this woman and her family believed in this teaching that their finances had never been any right always just like 95% of the church folks.
The church is practicing Trokoshi on these ppl.

Along with that cogent observation comes the fact that many of our so-called Christians in Ghana think they can always choose to keep committing certain sins and only have to pray for forgiveness to wipe their records clean.

That notion of praying and confessing our sins to Jesus to earn forgiveness is one big misconception that drives many of us to repeat immoral behaviors over and over again.

The Pastors themselves dwell on that same principle to indulge in serious sins, like infidelity, adultery and misuse of tithes, repeatedly.

I, also, strongly, don't believe their visa to Heaven is guaranteed by the prayers. In fact, I understand from the Old Testament of the Bible, especially, (I am not sure of the Koran) that it is the culmination of all that they do in life that would determine their eligibility to enter Heaven, not by any few prayers. In the New Testament, the emphasis for that eligibility is on Faith and Jesus' Grace, and not just Prayers, however long or loud they are, or wherever offered. And even so, Faith implies doing well to stay constantly by the expectations of the Lord, which would not include, I believe, a deliberate choice to sin over and over again.

Woyome is adjudged to be indebted to the state. That is a public knowledge that is not subject to reasonable dispute. But to realise the judgment debt there must be evidence that the state is failing to deploy all the known modes execution for purposes of retrieving the money.
