Jerry John Rawlings has stated that greed among some party members led to their loss in the 2016 general elections. He claimed corruption increased to insane levels under John Mahama and accused them of departing from the values of probity and accountability which formed the basis under which the party was formed. According to him, it was mainly because of the corruption that the NDC lost power to the governing New Patriotic Party.

  Oh ghanaweb!!! Why do you people like publishing lies to the public like this? Oh come on!! I am an alumni of Mount Mary, and it's only that college that produces those numbers you're churning out. How about Bagabaga college, Amedzope college, University of Education, Winneba ,Cape coast university? This year alone Winneba is producing 190 French teachers. Therefore I am suspecting two reasons for this article: either the government is clandestinely sending this false info to give excuse why Nana can't realize his pledge or some people are against the promotion of French Language in Ghana. But if you ask, Ghanaians children are the losers here,for you can't learn from or teach anybody something if you can't speak the person language.

  How many Ghanaians can read and write their own language? Only 25% of Ashantis can read and write twi. The same happens to other tribes.Why not teach them their own language first? Useless governments all along

  I would rather prefer my kids to learn twi and BK. My kids will never go to France and so why do they have to learn French by force.
