Another ploy to extort money form Ghanaians. The DVLA is not even able to issue the current one to drivers . You apply for a license and you are given months to come for it. Now another flimsy excuse to unleash hardship on people. How secured will the new one be if it is not an avenue to make some smart brain rich at the expense of the people?

What is the difference between the upcoming and the old one? If the education concerning this licence is slow or low and even the Minister is unaware or less informed then the DVLA did their job poorly. They need to be told that such project need the concern of all therefore can not do things as usual. Although the initiative is well intended, it implementation is poor.

It seems Ghanaians are going crazy with the word "BIO", everything BIOMETRIC. What good will BIOMETRIC license does? Not every Ghanaian drives. Pretty soon there will be "BIOMETRIC CHAINS" around the neck of Ghanaians. BIO is becoming too much in our vocabulary. You collect all these personal information data about people and yet you don't even know how to protect it. Least I know computer "HACK" and all you have to say is: "I AM SORRY". Stop these BIO, BIO, business.

Make the old license valid and proof it and exchange it for small fee.Is this difficult?
Sometimes I wonder where our ministers got their political education and believe they are all pen robbers.

I don't know if this is a mandate that is given to every appointee by the government, or if it is an individual undertaking, but things coming from state institutions reek of corruption to me.
