It is not true that they are selfish. The Blackstar coaches are not using them well. Just look at the substitutions and the selections they make.

His club knows him well and well utilized in his proper role, and hence snd yielded results. For players to play proper football, you play on their strength(s) and where they best enjoy themselves with the right support. Also, I do not think any of the players went to the AFCON seeking to lose; it’s simply unwise and not beneficial. Their best was just was just not good enough, collectively.

Inaki did not have any disappointing performance as some people want to insinuate. The problem was with the coach who could not assign proper roles to the galaxy of players he assembled. Inaki when given his proper role in any game is superb to watch. Have you seen how he sparkled in the game against Barca ? He even predicted on his arrival to his base that they were going to win now that he had arrived. The coach did not make the players he assembled to have that confidence they exude when playing for their mother clubs.
