Ablakwa when did parliament approve Afcon budget since independence, don’t be a fool of yourself , GFA is under the ministry of youth and sports all expenses of sports are in the annual budget once the budget is approved in parliament that’s it. So Ablakwa doesn’t even no the details in the budget as a parliamentarian before they approved it what a shame. Stop telling lies to Ghanaians, That 8.5 million dollars budgeted for preparation till they reach the final so the money is being spent as they move along now that they could even get to the next stage. They will bring the remaining money back they are not going to continue to stay in their hotel to spend the rest of the money no the remaining money is brought back to the government. That’s how it works so Ablakwa says they spend 8.5 million dollars it’s a big lie also CAF paid huge money to any team that qualify for the tournament because the whole world watch the game including sponsors so Black stars doesn’t loose any money.

Ever since when have estimates for a tournament been passed by Parliament? The ministry of sports has its Budget approved by Parliament during the Budget debates. Monies to the GFA is inclusive so in going for a tournament, estimates are sent to the ministry and when approved such money is not placed in the hands of the GFA. Its sent to the Ghanaian Embassy of the country where the tournament is taking place. At least two accounts personnel from the Ministry of sports are sent over and they do all the payments. Back home accounts are presented to the ministry. I am not condoning fraud but Hon Okudjeto Ablakwa because of political expedience always calls out there are wolfs when there are non. Just quite recently he came out with a statement that the CEO of the GRA has run out of Ghana with his wife and children because of a probe at that place. Just the next day the CEO who is a Rev Minister appeared publicly so where was the truth of his running away. Okudjeto Ablakwa started with the National Cathedral, that some 2.3 million has been paid to its Executive Secretary. The trustees came out with documents and Bank pay in slips to explain that it was the Man who loaned them that amount and it was a refund. The next step was that the Executive Secretary has double names, the question is if he uses two names, has he broken any law that demands he be tried and if found guilty sent to jail. My advise is thar Okudjeto Ablakwa should hasten slowly because politics is a long distance race.
