I'm not 100% fit - Anthony Annan

Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan says he has not fully recovered from an injury he picked up during the team’s pre-Nations Cup friendly against Egypt.

The Osasuna midfielder twisted his ankle during the game in Abu Dhabi and has since struggled to be fit.

The 26-year-old was thrown into the country's opener against DR Congo but failed to make any significant impact.

But the former Schalke 04 has player says he is not 100% fit.

“I am not 100% fit. I am working on my fitness level and hopefully, I should be in line against Mali,” Annan said

“The team’s medics are doing a great job and in no time I expect to be fully fit without any problems.”

“We’re disappointed with the result but we must understand DR Congo is also a good side and played well.

“We need to go back to the drawing board to see where we went wrong. But I’m confident we’ll bounce back.”

Ghana will play Mali in their secnd group B game on Thursday.
