I'm following text commentary on BBC on the Burkna/Ethiopia. The wording seems to support Ethiopia, but after Burkina has taken the lead, the writer is now saying that Ethiopia are playing garbage football. People go talk true one by one in this tournament. I have already chased Rasheed out of this forum!
If Burkina wins today's game, Naija go smell shito and koobi. Congo are already in danger!

Seriously, if the performance met his expectation then I am most disappointed. I really do hope we win the cup because we have waited long enough. but surely if we do win it, the praise cannot be given to AA but God almighty because AA is a terrible coach.

Timo, look I don't know if you are related to AA or what, when a coach makes mistakes or underperforms, he is criticized to step up and when he does well praise is given. I think what differentiates me from you is that I am very objective and hit the nail right on the head. Have you ever heard the word football analyst? I need not be a professional football player or coach to be a great football analyst. I bet you have not watched as many football and matches and engaged in realistic discussions as I have. or maybe our physical locations is what makes me objective than you. Look I know in Ghana sometimes you are not given the right to voice out, so you grow with it and accept anything irrespective of the loopholes. Where I am things are different, you voice out when you see loopholes or flaws that can be corrected.
The whole tournament, have you seen any other team with only three strikers? Unless you are telling me all the other coaches are senseless. Just think about it, watch other matches, investigate about success of other coaches then you may comment wisely. I was in favor of a Ghanaian coach, but even watching Asante Kotoko under the assistant, He made lovely tactical decisions which i acknowledged. AA is simple not good enough. He is just not there.

AA I hope you read this, I don't hate you or have any grudge against you, I just think you should listen to the advice rendered you and be bold to changes Gyan when he is not performing or he is tired. After all that is why you took another striker or? Please next time don't take only three strikers to a tournament, as you have experienced from Yiadom's injury and Gyan lack of fitness. Next time provide us we more striking options. Now i foresee you playing one top till end of the tournament but I wish you the very best.

I agree with the coach. The Black Stars are capable of playing better than they have done in the 2 matches so far. I think there were a lot of nerves in the first match. In the second, the Malians did not allow the Stars to settle on the ball. They rushed our boys at every opportunity hence the wayward passes at certain periods. I think our next opponents are going to do the same. So it will be helpful if the coach switches his attention to making the boys practice by playing at fast pace when necessary and avoid hanging too long on the ball. I believe we will then be ready at whatever opponents throw at us.

POW (The Prince Of Wales, the boys capability to gel is being neutralised by opponents by not allowing them to play their usual fluent passing game. I am sure they must have done their homework on the Black Stars. The Congolese and the Malians in particular exploited our boys' slow pace and tendency to hang on too long on the ball by rushing them into making critical mistakes or giving the ball away. A case in point is John Boye's dilly dallying (rather than clearing the ball to touch) - was rushed by Seidu Keita almost resulting in a disaster for Ghana, but for the generosity of the ref. So what the boys have to do is not hang on too long on the ball; one touch most of the time;great movements off the ball and good positioning to receive passes. I am not a qualified coach. But I think this humble suggestion can help the boys exhibit their talents which we are never in doubt. May The Almighty Help Them through thick and thin.

I agree! What those countries (Spain, Germany, Italy and England etc) have is a SYSTEM, or STYLE, or METHODOLOGY of playing that they meticulously stick to. All the great football nations have a system of playing based on research and the history of their football, the physical attributes and psychological conditioning of their players. Germany for instance has a special MANUAL developed for their national team. That is why Germany almost always gets to the final, semi-finals or quarter finals. THEY MAINTAIN A STANDARD. In recent years MILO was the only coach who came close to developing a SYSTEM for the BS that was gradually becoming recognizable: his was a defensive/possessive/passing system but it took us to AFCON 2010 FINALS and nearly SEMI-FINALS WC 2010. ALL THAT AA HAS TO DO IS TO TWEAK MILO'S SYSTEM and remove the flaws of that system, which were the lack of ATTACKING OPTIONS UPFRONT. AA is the man who has inherited that system. He was the assistant coach. If the BS does not develop a unifying SYSTEM of play we will continue to see poor passes, buga-buga, selfish-play, holding onto the ball, being caught in possession, unforced errors etc. A system of playing is necessary because the players come from different international leagues with different styles of play. HOW CAN A GROUP COMMUNICATE IF THEY ALL SPEAK DIFFERENT LANGUAGES? You need to develop a common language that they can all understand!!!

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

However we have not been fortunate with our established players like Essien, Abeyie, Muntari, Appiah, Mensah, Agogo, Kingston brothers, KP Boateng, D Boateng, either they have retired, too old, unfit, clubless, resigned, etc The bottom-line is Ghana has the right pedigree of players we need to raise our standards and keep it up there. It is possible. Coach GYAMFI won Afcon 3 times, 1963, 1965, and 1982...he surely has a RECIPE for winning. Between 65 and 81, 16 years he was not coaching the BS, how come when he did come back he won the cup in 1982. Where is Gyamfi's manual...LOL .....is it locked in the vault of oral tradition. If he is still alive we should go get his WISDOM for football b4 he bids farewell. He will be 84 by now. O Lord help Ghana!!!
