That's what I am talking about. Kwasi Appiah can deliver only we put our faith and learn from the previous coaches as Veteran Osei Kofi said.
Nobody can help Ghana to succeed it's up to us to change our brain and work towards united front. We need to get out from that colonial mindset of inviting the west to help us to succeed in every endeavor.
There are so many talented, educated individuals in the country however the PULL HIM DOWN syndrome is costing us a fortune. Let's refrain from tribalism and focus on Ghana and make every Ghanaian proud. During the world cup Ghana scored a goal against Serbia. Kwasi Appiah all excited trying to hug Rajaevic he pushed him away because he wasn't so proud and excited. That tells it all.
We should know who we are and be proud of who we are.

Are we ready for the knockout phase of the tournament? Two games down and four more to go!
Morocco and Angola are the first to be in flight, heading back home now. Who wins morrow's match?
Is the present squad capable of ending the thirty-one years cup drought?
"We need players who can run for 90 minutes and over and they must never be selfish,” he said. According to the star player affectionately called the Midfield Dynamo or Midfield Generalisimo, the Black Stars team is good, but lacks creativity. He prayed that they will shun the one attacker strategy and adopt the 4-4-2 formation to be able to bang in more goals." - Adolf Armah.
Dan Agyei and Derek Boateng, have they justified their inclusion in the team.
Who makes the best coach for the Stars among the following:
Kwasi Appiah?
Bashiru Hayford?
Sellas Tetteh?
Desailly Marcel?
Can this Black Stars squad really bring home the cup minus Dede and Jordan Ayew, Michael Essien, Helegbe, Mahatma Otoo, and Mohammed Yakubu?

Yes! Yes! Yes! The Legend has spoken. The Wizard dribbler has spoken, the nimble footeer has spoken, the Legend who love his country, the Legend who put Ghana on top of the world and Africa, the Legend who for the love of his country turned down many contracts abroad has spoken, the Legend who can make goal scoring easy and simple that even the toughest and experienced defenders are afraid to face him. The list goes on and on. There is another player who can match this legend and that Polo the Legend from Accra Hearts of Oak. These two Legends are irreplaceable. These two Legends love their country, not selfish and made goals simple and easy to score; that is why it has been over 30 that Ghana has not been able to bring back the cup. We very much miss them. Soccer at its best when you see them play. God bless them for putting Ghana on the map.I believe there is gonna be another Legend to be born in the near future . Long Live Ghana.

Osei Kofi is not the best player ever that Ghana has produce. He was great but not the best ever or the most talented ever in Ghana football. In his days that question was asked and answer came from our first Olympics games. If you know more about Ghana football you know what I am talking about. Check the answer in the National Newspaper that year. You want to learn? When Osei Kofi played for Hearts of Oak, he was not the best player for Hearts or Ghana, and even when he left for Kotoko, he was still not the best ever? If you say Robert Mensah was the best goalkeeper ever in Ghana, you are right about that, but he also was not the best player ever in Ghana, period. Who is one player who change the landscape of how soccer was played in Ghana? who brouhgt what we call "Body" into Ghana soccer? Abedi Pele is the most decorated player in Ghana, but can we say he is the best player ever in Ghana soccer? no! How many players in Ghana soccer have copied the play of Osei Kofi? Or how many have taken the name Osei Kofi as their football name?
How is one player that most Ghanaian greats have copied and use his name in Ghana soccer? Even the Golden boy, the Abedi Pele copied his style of play. The most talented player ever in the history of Ghana soccer, period! I think you should know who I am talking about!

That's why, during a game, we might think Ghana is playing well but when ball possession stats come on the screen our opponents are seen always leading on that. Thank you Osei Kofi. To paraphrase your conditions for success =consistency & higher standards. Ghana was ranked 13th out of 32 countries that took part in the world cup in 2006. In 2010 we improved from 13th to 7th position. If Ghana can maintain its standards between major tournaments (by taking seriously all friendly matches) then what is on paper will translate into reality. Folks did you know that on paper experts such as Colm Larkin has predicted that Ghana could reach the semi finals in WC 2014 and even win the competition for two reasons 1) Ghana's 2009 U20 Championship team could graduate into and mature in the Black Stars 2) Ghana's 2010 world cup team will reach their prime by 2014. FIRST WE HAVE TO QUALIFY FOR THE WC 2014?

I totally agree with you. Ghana has no problem at all when it come to the 'pedigree' of players that we have. At this point I would say that "time will tell". Ghanaians don't play with their football. Sooner or later all the weaknesses of the system will fade or diminish. The process that was used to hire Appiah was not vigorous and transparent enough. If they really wanted a local coach, fine, but the process has to be competitive enough, with serious vetting so that coaches like Sellas Tetteh, Konadu ETC could all compete. In the end if AA wins, fine. We should not underestimate the power of football, and the LOVE that Ghanaians have for it. My only suggestion is that at this point AA should be given all the services that he needs so that he succeeds. Some of the problems are not AA'S MAKING, but if he would not solve them quickly, I know my people...Ghanaians will kick him out of office. It is as simple as that. AA already knows the consequence, if he should failure.

Setting aside good players because of politics is a shameful act
Bringing the cup to Ghana is our hope but just a dream until we are in the semi finals.Kofi you have been an old player for many years and during your time were good players of the nation removed or set aside because of politics.Until this kind of things are addressed in our nation's football association,we will never get any where. What coach Appiah has done to the Abedi brothers who are in their top form is a shameful act and he should apoligise to Ghanaians for making that huge mistake. These are some of the reasons why coaches in Ghana are expelled every two years Kofi.
Ghana is a single nation for us all.Ghana is for Ghanaians and not for one tribe of ethnic group or race.We are all one people under one nation and one flag in our mother land Ghana. If it was nepotism coach kofi was trying to exhibit then it was wrong and did not go well for all Ghanaians. If we fail to bring the cup to Ghana coach Appiah won’t be good enough to send the team to the world cup because he lacks the experience and the technical know how.In my view and new coach with more experience should found as fast as possible to safe the good image of our dear country from thwart coaches.
