2. ANY KID CAN BE POACHED N REGISTERED TO PLAY COLTS ETC, BUT U CANT PLAY FOR A PREMIER LG CLUB UNTIL U HVE COMPLETED SHS
3. JUSTIFY YOUR INCLUSION MUST BE BANNED
4.IF A CLUB WANTS PLAYERS. SEND SCOUTS TO THE VARIOUS INTER CO, ZONALS, REGIONALS, COLTS, POLY N UNIVERSITY GAMES.
5. EDUCATION HAS BEEN THROWN OUT THE WINDOWWHEN IT COMES TO SOCCER. THIS IS STUPID. EDUCATED PLAYERS AREMORE INTELLIGENT, MAKE BETTER DECISIONS ON THE FIELD N VE LONGER CAREERS. DONT U KNOW...JUST LOOK AT THE CAREERS OF PLAYERS WHO AT LEAST COMPLETED SHS OR SECONDARY SCH/HIGH SCHOOL COMPARED TO THE SO CALLED STREET PLAYERS?
6. WHY DONT WE HVE A DRAFT SYSTEM IN GH? OR ENCOURAGE THESE CLUBS TO SIGN PLAYERS AND INVEST IN THEM SOCCERWISE, EDUCATIONALLY UNTIL THEY R RIPE FOR THE PREMIERSHIP? INSTEAD, WE HVE FOREIGN ACADEMIES INN GH TAKING AWAY ALL THE PROFITS....WOSE IDEA WAS THIS..NYANTAKYI...FOOL!
E.G KOTOKO CAN POACH/SCOUT KIDS IN JHS/SHS.....SIGN THEM AT A YOUNG AGE. INVEST IN THESE KIDS. GIVE THEM SCHOLARSHIPS TO COMPLETE POLY/UNIVERSITY AS PER THE KIDS PREFERENCE. AFTERWARDS, THE KID BECOMES A FULLTIME PLAYER FOR THE CLUB. U SEE WHERE THIS IS GOING? U BUILD LOYALTY N GROWTH. THERE IS CONTINUATION. U HVE INVESTED IN THE KID'S PROGRESS. Yes, if we have a local coach such will be the situation. Even our 2-goal-striker, Asamoah Gyan and the own-goal scoring John Boye will make the selection for him.

Five Afro-Germans with African-American fathers. Three of the five scored goals. Anthony Brooks, Jermaine Jones and Julian Green all scored. Fabian Jones was a right back and Chandler came off the bench with the left back. It is not about local. It is about GLOBAL. However, you have to pick the right personalities. Secondly, the technical bench was also a failure, they should have droped Inkoom and Adomah for Schlupp and Kwabena Adusei especially when Akaminko was out.How could we play our best who could be like Robben or Merci (K .Asamoah) in defense? Look at how excellent Sule and Rabiu contained the dangerious German midfield,In fact apart from the defence, the team to Brazil was far better than that in 2010 but that coach and management did better. In fact management failed us just as NDC is failing Ghana period.

Part of sound leadership is the uncanny ability to anticipate and neutralize problems. In the penalty shoot out with Uruguay, the Black Stars were utterly pathetic evincing lack of preparation. In the 2014 World Cup, the coaches were oblivious of defending against corner kicks, one against the US and the second against Germany. This suggestion of selection has come too late, after the fact and is utterly useless. Why not before the contest. Ability and talent amount to nothing because the battle is not always won by the strong nor the race by the swift. Anticipation is everything in problem resolution!!!

Since most of the good players in Ghana play professional abroad, the coach must embark on occasional scouting trips to evaluate the players. Is the former minister implying that just because a guy is the best player in his village and doesn't even play in the domestic league he should be included in the pool of players for selection?

Our football managers must get abreast with the changes in football management Simple
Our players were very good and world class
Only the coach and the management were very bad
First Akwasi Appiah mistake was excluding Schultze fom the team
@nd Akwasi Appiah mistake was making Kevin Prince Boateng Essien and Warris warm the bench.Asamoah Gyan has said he partner very well with Warris and you know from ages Essien and Muntari have been good partners.Watch 2010 World Cup Ghana Matches if you dont believe this.
The trio Kevin P Boateng Essien and Muntari could have made a big difference I do not know whether Akwasi Appiah received a threth or a favour from the soccer maestro Abedi Pele.Replacing Kevin Prince Boateng with the young inexperience lad was the beginning of Ghana's problems
The remote cause of Coach Akwasi Appiah Kevin Prince Boateng sour relations.Kevin saw the weakness in Appiah and he and his friends joked with it and Appiah beefed up and stretched his muscle
No doubt Muntari would have been spared of his inceteration with Manager Moses Armah but for the fact that he was the friend to Kevin made Akwasi Appiah to think that he has got him where he wanted
This is the third Coach Akwasi Appiah mistake. It was all getting even with players. The next target was Essien but he was smart. The young players listen more to the senior players and it made coach Akwasi Appiah a redicule
The fourth mistake of coach Akwasi Appiah was that he should have listened to the players request and talk with the management about it without letting the players engage the management. The long engagement of the players sapped their energy and this was clearly seen in their match with Portugal. After wasting a lot of energy with the long talk you dont expect them to do well. Dont you?
Faith does many things. The managers did not have faith.Being in the group of death they did not have the winning mentality.Everybody thought the two German coaches were going fix the match and give the USA an easy qualification But they were not corrupt Ghanaians so they did not think like how Ghana FA boss Nyantakyi thinks. The Americans has to sweat it out!CAN CORRUPT GHANA OFFICIALS LEARN SOMETHING FROM THIS TWO GERMAN COACHES?

E.T has made an important point. There are many talents in the nation if someone cared to look for them. Some of them may be raw talents; but that's why we have coaches. From the Universities to 3rd division clubs, there must be enough talents to take up at least, 60% of those who finally are groomed as Black Stars.
I also believe that it is high time we looked at the physique of our players. Modern scientific soccer takes how well-built (tall, powerful, strong) into consideration (you remember Zidane?). One may have noticed that at any serious Soccer Meet, Ghana's team is always among the 'little ones'. In the past players like Emmanuel Quarshie, Tony Yeboah, etc proved that power and physique are very important. Bukard Zieze was one coach who 'silently' tried to introduce physique into building a team. His 'policy' has to be picked up again. Please!

So what did this guy just say? That is his solution?
One of his solutions is that the sports minister will select the players for the coach.

What did he do when he was a sports minister ? He was as corrupt as the current motherfuckers are
Part of sound leadership is the uncanny ability to anticipate and neutralize problems. In the penalty shoot out with Uruguay, the Black Stars were utterly pathetic evincing lack of preparation. In the 2014 World Cup, the coac ...

I hope ET Mensah is not suggesting his once bogus selection committee that he proposed to be put in place for the Black Stars.
This is why we need a foreign coach. This guy was a total disaster as a sports minister in the 90s.

ARE YOU BLIND? YOU FOCUS ON LOCAL PLAYERS IF YOU HAVE A TALENTED WELL TRAINED/SKILLFUL LOCAL COACH TO NURTURE THEM TO BECOME STARS. APPIAH IS NOT THAT KIND OF COACH.
CHOBO AND 419 AND KICK BACKS, THATS OUR PROBLEM. I DONT EVEN BELIEVE IN THE SELECTION OF THE PLAYERS. EVEN IN SELECTING A COACH, THERE IS A PROBLEM.
A member of the three wisemen has spoken and he is right. A wiseman indeed!. ET, you've earned my respect. Come back on board and get the economy moving.
what was the difference between the selection policies in 2006, 2010, and 2014.can ET Mensah tell us the difference?
