Now he says, "you and I were there". Unless he meant at the Supreme Court, his statement could be perjury. However, even if his statement refers to the Supreme Court, it is also very serious for a potential Vice-President and the second respondent in the presidential petition to say publicly that he rejects the Supreme Court judgement. For him to say that Nana Akufo-Addo won the election is disrespect to the highest court of the land. It is a sign that he does not believe in the rule of law and not fit for the office of Vice-President. It also means that he disagreed with Nana Akufo-Addo accepting the SC ruling. Nana Akufo-Addo disagreed with the decision but he accepted it.

Has Dr Bawumia or NPP conducted a poll which supports the assertion that Nana Akufo-Addo is on course to win 2016 election? When was such poll undertaken and would the outcome still be valid by December 2016? Two years is a very long time in politics. NPP should be careful of being over confident of winning and the risk of complacency.
