the problem with this northern mentality is that thanks to jj they now all have an unquenchable thirst for power but never to serve in a team or accept their fellow countrymen . just look around in Accra and study the majority of the businesses owned by these northerners and in the majority of the medium and Small sized businesses you notice they only employ their fellow northerners and practically never employ an Akan . Today in Accra the largest religious building in the country will be the mosque being build on our national park at Nima donated by Turkey confirming the Islamic domination of Ghana. Tribalism mixed with chauvinism and despotism from the north has now equaled the hegemony of the ewes . A.C.C.R.A any criminal can roam about so we have them everywhere now . even at the scholarship secretariat hardly ever is an Akan awarded the privilege to go abroad and study now . The Akans are the majority but because most continue to sleep or blindly trust the other tribes these atrocities are taking place . We look at the political strategy of the NDC and see the typical Hannibal wench when he turned the strengths of the mighty Roman army against themselves as they are doing to the Akans . From the south they use part of the Fantis and from the North the Brongs , from behind we have the chariot onslaught of the Gas Ewes Krobos. Yes the political landscape reflects a war which is only meant to destroy the right of self governance of the God's chosen nation of Africa the Akan . For them its a big deal who leads the NPP but we really don't care as our movement grows stronger by the hour as more and more Akans wake up to reality of this dire situation . We did not ask for this war but we will fight it and be victorious as God is with us . Long live the Republic of Akan

This is simply absurd and looking for a scapegoat. why should the governor of a reserve bank be held accountable when we all know that the current administration is to blame for its poor policies and stuffing positions with unqualified people from one or two regions? Take a look at the three top positions at BoG and tell us who should be sacked. Certainly not the Governor. Let's stop playing tribal games here. Paul Acquah also contracted a $2 billion loan from a salon in the Caribbeans. Osafo MARFO signed a loan with Germany in a language he didn't understand. Seth Terpker is still at post when most problems facing the country is fiscal not monetary. You cannot have a strong currency when u produce nothing and export nothing. A central bank governor is not a magician a prophet to turn the cedi fortunes around. Puncto.

The Governor of the Bank of Ghana cannot be held responsible for the free fall of the Cedi. He does not import or export for Ghana. He does not spend the foreign exchange for Ghana.

Bernard Mornah, like very yapping soul in Ghana, seek to blame somebody while ignoring the elephant in the room. Ghana can only change when we have independent, effective and efficient state institutions; we have not had one in Ghana since 1966. Those institutions in turn could be regulated by best practices and procedures from our parliament house where the rules of engagement are written; we’ve not had one since 1966 either.
The misplaced anger by NPP, NDC and others in Ghana show the timidity of all the yapping fools. People from all walks of life are not seeking to become parliamentarians because of love for Ghana but because parliament and the presidency is where Ghana's revenues are shared and it is better to be in parliament to get yours as a Ghanaian than to be waiting on them for yours. It is our members of parliament who divvy up our revenues and national assets to foreign interests while they ask each of us to tighten our belts. Bernard Mornah should stop being a jackass and explain the true operational scheme of government and not throw bones to hungry dogs to chew on. If Bernard Mornah thinks the Governor at BoG acts on his/her volition then I think Ghana never saw ignorance from people who ought to know.

Instead of taking only what the Governor of Bank of Ghana says as the Financial decision that matters in our Economic adjustment efforts, we should have a consensus among a group of experts to go by, as done in the USA.
In the USA, every State has its representation on the Federal Reserve Board which functions as the BoG does for Ghana. And the members debate to produce a consensus on every Financial policy that the USA has to implement. That is why the USA has the right financial decisions made most of the time. The Governor is fallible and could make mistakes. But if a consensus were to be built for all decisions, the inadequacies of the Governor would be mitigated before they impact on the Nation.
Our Bank of Ghana must be modified to have such a structure and modality for decision-making. At its current form, the Bank of Ghana could have Deputies to the Governor but the Governor's word seems to be always the only one that matters. That must change.
Long Live Ghana!!!

How do some politicians in Ghana think? In every country they have a governer for the national bank but when it comes to decision making, the governer does not take the decision alone.Which means he has a comittee of experts who help in the decision making and I believe that is how it is in Ghana too. Therefore we cannot blame Dr. Wampah as decision making is concerned. Live him alone. Ghana is in a mess.
