Government should scrap the boarding school system. It only costs money and the students are only misbehaving. Europe and america dont have boarding high schools. Yet their students are doing better. Most african students go to the bording schools only to fool. The purpose of creating boarding schools have outlived their relevante. There is a senior high school in almost every district in Ghana today.

Another example of a failed education system that is exacerbated by public policies of a government without foresight. The minister of education is too ignorant to be a dog catcher and an NPP majority government public policy of free SHS failed to set acceptance based on merit. Is every school going child SHS material? No. Is every SHS student bound to be successful in college? No. Some may be good at hands-on trade and technical education that does not involve the rigors of SHS. We have allowed hooligans to blend in with serious students just so the majority irresponsible parents driven to vote for the party that gave them free SHS can sustain foolishness; we’re reaping what we sowed.
